Totally. I feel like if I were about to play a festival and I had an album finished, I would want everyone to have heard the album to get super pumped at our show. But maybe it's more complicated than that. I don't think they would be dropping nuggets of hype lately if the album were further away than March.

I have confidence that the album will be out by March just cuz this is the first time they ever recorded the album before playing the songs live, so I'm hoping that means they wanna drop it on us without any of us knowing the songs yet

aww yee this is really good news. I think y'all are right and this all but guarantees a release before march. Really hope they just announce and release in the next few weeks/early december in time for xmas. Unless they aren't quite ready, and it just comes out after new years/early feb? Either way it is definitely coming soon!!!!

When Avey Tare came to Chicago for the Pitchfork fest Beck played the same night and he was soo fcking boring that my brother and I didn't even stay for his whole set. haha Now he's playing the same night as Animal Collective at the McDowell fest! I really hope they give the main stage to AC and not Beck! I don't understand the hype on that guy? Days leading up to Pitchfork i tried and tried to get into his music but it was pretty boring ..

Since when does having platinum albums define how good an artist is? I'm quite sure there's a lot of untalented artist with platinum albums. I don't mean to offend anyone that does enjoy his music. As AC fans, we of all fans, understand that music is defined only by the listener and not by the success of an artist. I personally just don't think Beck is that exiting to top AC for a main stage performance at any musical fest.
