Dave also worked at other music. He and Noah dropped out of school. Brian finished school and grad school for marine biology. Josh does carpentry on and off

Geologist:eyvind came in one day and did amazing overdubs on a bunch of songs. sometimes i think it's a shame that the brilliance of his parts don't stick out more on the record, but that's the way we like to mix - make it as much one organic sound as possible. it'd be nice to one day, maybe on the 10th anniversary reissue, do some mixes where his parts are cranked.

It is hard to tell if there will be a reissue but maybe a few songs will find their way into the concerts! Tikwid would be incredible although it is an EP song. I could see Pulleys possibly being a song that would still be played as it depends less on the exact Chz instrument setup... and it could become Pulleys ---> Bees ---> Pulleys!

seconding this. went to Other Music with friends the one time i went to NYC. found some neat stuff and Scott Mou ended up ringing me up, it was cool, would visit again

in seriousness though. I just listenedt to pr again and it's not nearly as bad as everyone makes out. reversing the tracks was definitely misguided but I think even then the songs are strong enough to stand. All I'd say is that the songs aren't very memorable. but remember! not memorable =/= terrible! if you hate ph give it another listen, try to hear it for the sounds, not the reversedness

i've made this song list after becoming inspired in the Strawberry jam discussion that has emerged! i haven't heard PBVSGR yet so maybe there should be more songs in here, but really i am interested in what other lists could be created!! i have not listened to this yet, it has only just been written.
there are so many possibilities more interesting than this and even still it does look intriguing!

I listened to Sung Tongs last night and it's interesting. When thinking of the most emotional of their albums before I went straight to Feels, but this might be even more emotional in some strange way. Winter's Love and Kids on Holiday give me the most bittersweet nostalgic feelings, as well as being great musically. Very good overall, though I still don't understand Visiting Friends. Should you just space out to it like Daffy Duck or Loch Raven? It's a pleasant song at least, I have to say. I feel as if this album is one that grows on you much more from the first listen, since I'm already getting more out of it on my second and third listens.

Visiting friends is about relaxing with friends and getting stoned.

I don't really identify with the second part, but as a whole the song is very cozy, it's kind of enveloping. The song feels the same to me as being with people and having so much fun that the flow of time has no impact and everything is warm and happy and the day becomes a shapeless haze of good feels.
That's how I interpret it anyway.

it grew from thinking if some of the songs from Strawberry jam were saved and recorded for Centipede Hz.
now it is kind of like if Centipede Hz was a very long album;
it is mostly a possible song playlist,
and i'm encouraging others to create their own super-long playlists...
but it could also just be read through as a series of impressions of the songs!

Deakin made them all, although I would imagine he ocassionaly recieved help. Honestly, hearing those remixes from 2009-2011 made me so psyched for his original material. He did an amazing job remixing. It's too bad we may never hear from him again

i've listened through to the end of this first section with some edits and made a few more : ) this is really much better than i had realized when writing it!!

MPP was such a special album for me, and still is, which is why I've set up rules as to when I can listen to it. Maybe it's silly, but I really want to keep the sacredity intact. Since it freebirded on Christmas, and I haven't been with family for the holidays over the past few years, I've decided to only listen to it then. Twelve days prior I start listening to some of my favorite boots, and then on Christmas eve I listen to that interview where they go through track by track. It's a ritual I doubt I'll keep much longer, but my god does it keep it alive and make me feel what I felt when it freebirded 6 YEARS AGO!
