The mixer is a studiomaster . Choice of champions ....!
The effects box he goes to on his r/h is an

Earthquaker devices effects are allover GR like a shroud ....

can you give any kind of insight as to if/when there might be a digital release of all of the instrumental and a capella tracks from Tomboy? I believe it was mentioned that it wouldn't be until all the box sets were sold - are there still a ton left?
any info is much appreciated!

So is the new version of the preakness considered to be Grim Reaper material? I thought it was interesting how he did that one during the main set rather than with the Tomboy tracks.

hey buddy
it's been kook cake central with the GR .... Last I knew some TB boxsets still remain . tons ? I doubt it , but the deal was as the proceeds from that box were to Cancer research it's important that it isnt denied by all the trax being available online . It's also unfair to stores who have copies for sale etc etc . but i'm good for my word . you'll ave to trust that . my email is easily available .
i'm sorry it could'nt be sooner ......
from experience , i'd hazard that the GR release will sell the reamaining TB's (dont ask me why , but it'll happen ) . then , if Paw tracks & noah r down i'm happy to let them out ....Lord at least i'll try.......

That was my little project.......Noah is super modest about his tonsils
They were mostly self defined by the songs he sings , literally , all the way
thru , which is one of his fave modes ..... The accapelas only work because thete
Are no real gaps
To give Tomboy Box special powers , i ran vocal only mixes and music only mixes
and re- combined them . It gives the processors more chance to meet the magic
and gives more detailed mixes . it wasnt hyped as no-one wanted to make people
feel they were being swamped with 'product' for the sake of it .
but that's where the mixes originated ......
The instrumentals were just the trax that sounded awesome even
without Mr Noah's midas tongue .
Thats sweet with the cake talk ... ... wow....

thats all it takes......but the thought is touching....

anyone else think that the third new-new track he's been playing on this tour (titled "other guy" on the warsaw boot) recycled some stuff from atiba song? or at least has some very similar sounds goin on?

wonder if there's even a slight chance that Preakness II would be on Reaper...doubt it, but then wouldn't rule it out either. care to weigh in SB? (actually nvrm..there's like now way, it's still way too TB core in terms of atmosphere, methinks..)

As far as new Preakness goes, I talked to him after the show tonight about it
Akaio wrote:
He said that the rumors Pete's been spreading about a Sun Araw remix are actually true to an extent in that Cameron had actually remixed The Preakness and that a studio version of the new Preakness had been recorded but the entire thing was scrapped after Noah and Pete decided it "just didn't sound good".
Apparently the tracks he's taken out of his setlist probably won't be returning as he "doesn't really like playing them anymore", so Heart and Soul and Wazzup aren't going to be in any future shows aside from the 50/50 intro which he says he likes just because it pumps him up really good.

if so, maybe! if not, why would you think that?

^it's feasible. Someone said they spoke to him recently and he said they couldn't decide what to do with extra material that wouldn't fit on the album. He could feasibly make 2 smaller lps out of all the stuff, if we would be correct in assuming there is a bit more he hasn't even played...
but, omg Akaio! was he just saying he's not gonna play them live, or that like those songs are dead?? Like maybe he has recorded them and will release them but just won't play them??? Because he has played Heart and Soul in recent shows, but then he seemed to drop it for Preakness II. I'd be so surprised if Heart and Soul 'dies'. And what do you mean abt 50/50 intro?
i guess even if he isn't playing them, perhaps Triple Eye and Wazzup and others could still show up on a release, maybe?

actually I guess we have 14 tracks total, i think, so a double lp is a stretch, but throw a fleshed out Soft Serve in there and a few studio-onlys, and you could do it..
kinda weird, but if you don't mind Akaio, I thought'd I'd quote yr thing from the live thread since there seems to be a lot of good info in there, and some ppl dont make it down to the live thread
Noah started his set off with the 50/50 sample which kinda had me hoping he'd do the old opener, but it went right into Make Believe and the set followed the same as the last few
Make Believe
Day After Day
Dark Cloud
Vacuum
Can't Go Back
Down Below
The Preakness
Other Guy
Principe Real
Fill Those Spaces
[encore break]
Last Night At The Jetty
Scheherezade
Surfers Hymn
He seemed to be having a bit of difficulty with Can't Go Back specifically, the track cut out once and it seemed like he was taking a while to start singing
That being said, Preakness and Scheherezade were actually transcendental live
Preakness was just too fucking intense with all the strobe lights and shit
The bass on that one was REALLY heavy and was just pounding away
Sounded kinda old school rave-y at first tbh
The visuals were such an integral part of the show, dear god
YouTube videos do NOT do them justice, you have to see those live
Definitely some sort of collaborative thing going on between Danny and Noah on this tour
The entire crowd was clapping along to the beat on Jetty and I think Noah got a kick out of that
After the show I managed to stick around and talk to a few people
Danny seemed really proud of the visuals, he talked to me a bit about the new movie he's been planning which is supposed to be a "more traditional horror thing", but he wasn't sure if it was going to be full length or not yet
Blake from Workaholics bought me a beer because I was standing alone and he said I "didn't look like I was having as much fun as I should be after that show", so that was kinda funny; I was thirsty anyway
I saw Dave and said hi because I didn't want to say too much; he seemed a little annoyed that everyone was going up to him to talk. He kept saying "It's Noah's show, you should be chatting his ear off, not mine!" but he was a pretty good sport overall though. I asked him about the Centipede Radio tracks and he said he wasn't thinking about doing anything more like that, but that the post Down There stuff might get a second wind. He said his mind was "too disjointed" to really know for sure what he was going to do next.
Panda (is the nicest fucking person to talk to) came out probably 40 minutes after he finished up, I chatted quite a bit with him about stuff, some questions and some friendly conversation.
Also hearing Noah say "WAZZUP" was pretty funny. He said it probably wouldn't make it on the record because of copyrights and stuff with the commercial, which was also one of the reasons some songs were getting axed
He said most of the transitions between tracks aren't going to stay on the record, as he wanted it to have a more "straightforward feel", but that he and Pete have tried to work a few in, but he's been having a hard time finding a fluid and smooth switch between most of the songs. He made it sound kinda like this album's touring at least is more practice for stuff down the road as far as stringing songs together and making them flow better; he said that Dave was responsible for the transitions on CHz and he kinda wanted to try to start doing that with this tour, but "probably won't really have it nailed until the next batch of songs", which he tentatively said he'll start working out in the fall.
That all said, he seemed really proud of the songs thus far; he kept using the words "spacey" and "floaty" when he was describing the tracks, Principe Real in particular he was really fond of and said he liked the progress he'd made on that from "a more straightforward, four-to-the-floor dance cut to something more ethereal that had breathing room, but you could still get down to it if you wanted"
He also thought some of the tentative track titles we have were funny, some of them he was like "I don't even think that's a lyric", but he thought it was cool that fans have been latching on to them this early
Other than that he talked about how he was upset with his phone not working.
ALSO, both he and Danny confirmed the tour visuals would see a release, although he wasn't sure if it'd come with the album or not, but he said he felt like they'd become such an integral part of the experience that it'd feel like something were missing if they weren't there to experience. He wasn't sure how he "was going to factor in the strobe lights or smoke though"
He got cut off by some girl wanting him to sign her copy of Person Pitch and he kinda just looked over at me and shrugged and mouthed "sorry"

The sad fact
And yeah, unless he has some change of heart I doubt we'll see much more of Wazzup, Till I Die, Tribe Vibes, Triple Eye, "Shut Up", or Cosplay
Still though, we've got a solid 9 songs as is
That being said, he never explicitly said those songs were dead for good, just that he didn't really feel like playing them live anymore
Add those into the equation and you've got 15 new songs. Easily an LP and EP's worth of tunes

^ya, it's way too good.
And thanks Dad, thought that's what it was but forgot the name of the movie...
also, I know these questions prbly get old, but what is tribe vibes? I thought that was referring to shut up for some reason (sounds like tribe vibes to me lol) but what is it actually? I don't see it on any tracklist for the boots.
But ya, he just needs to do a half-instrumental ep with like Wazzup, Triple Eye and Shut Up and Soft Serve...but ya I'm assuming Soft Serve isn't rlly gonna be a thing ever... and a H&S/cosplay single?

Hey ladles & Jellyspoons ,
I shuda corrected this earlier.......tho i kind of like the chinese whisper effect ....
.....i actually never said that there was a Sun araw preakness
remix , and to my knowledge none was ever undertaken .but I did speak in the same post of a remix
i undertook of the preakness , and another remix (thats on the nantes tape w cosplay) os sun araw's
horse steppin . I hope thats clearer ......
You folx saw 2 + 2 & in your excitement got 22 ! which is fine.....but i just wanted to be clear for a change....ha
Mr. Noah sampled up for all the songs from the GR session , so he's got the ability to change it out
and play them all out at whim.....might still be some treats ...
Say - Is ''tribe vibes' ( great title btw ) the one ' there is a song, you're on it for so long(repeat) ' ' there is a sound if u listen in to it '(repeat) ?? Or the one- ' I spy , little guys , maybe e- mo - o tions ? "
Ok....i think i get it..I think u refer to Jabawaqy ? ' what you got on....etc' ?

Actually, is the latter the same song as ""I give my soul" song? They were played together at ATP but the "please don't / I spy little guys" part was taken out for this tour.

Hmmmm.... These r diff songs......
But the one w/ the cymbal/drum loop that sounds like mitch
Mitchel is jabawaqy . But it isn't li mis luva....
The one withe the samples saying ' face face face' is 'faces in the crowd'- yesh . That must b it .
I really have no idea if the song titles of trax he plays live are secrets
seems it would be easier without the confusions . Most of the songs titles are'nt
repeated in the lyrics .
