These songs are so good. I am so excited to listen to and buy the new record. The Chicago show completely blew me away. One of the best shows I have ever got the chance to experience. The visuals by Danny P are so perfect with noah's beautifully arranged sonic assault mixed with his blinding strobing lights . I really can't praise it enough. That show was the first time where I have felt and experienced a full psychedelic experience without ingesting psychedelic drugs at a show.

Has anyone been able to record an entire show yet (rather than all the snippets on youtube)?
EDIT: Meant videos, not the mp3

Yeah, I phrased that poorly. I meant actual videos of the entire show to watch Perez's visuals along with it, not just the mp3 bootlegs.

Was SB saying that there is going to be a Triple Eye/Dark Cloud single announced tomorrow?
Also, do we just call Fill Those Spaces Magic Trick now? seems like the best title so far...It's prbly the coup de grace for me...favorite melody he's written now i think, with Alsatian. So much good feeling in that song, it really is a "magic trick" on my soul.

I emailed red bull the other day to see if they were still putting up the recording from the Brooklyn show and this was the response
"Dear Jen,
Thank you very much for your interest in the Red Bull Music Academy and your message. We will upload the Panda Bear show just right before his albums drops in late August Please hold tight until then.
Thanks again and best regards"
Hell. Yes.

AHH that's so soon! Hope that's true. If so, we could probably expect a single any week now. (assuming he puts one out)

Wow, yeah we should get an announcement any day now if that's the case O_o
What's everyone thinking for the lead single btw? It seems like Dark Cloud and Principe Real got the best responses in Chicago, so I'd guess maybe one of those. I always figured it'd be Tribe Vibes/Heart and Soul but now I'm not sure what's happened with that one

I'm sorry......it's a silly lp session 'in' joke ..
'Something for the weekend' is the traditional ( pre-aids)
saying a barber would ask after yr fri evening haircut . It's
a euphemism... discretely asking if you need any rubber wear....
Barbers were the more discrete way to purchase such items back
when the request for contraceptives at a pharmacy would bring a hail of dirty looks & scrunched
faces....
More making noise than making sense , eh ?
' Bullshit bits for the weekend' is quite another thing ....a source of much power
and wonder ...
One thing I can tell you , is I wont b making any announcements......
Just poppin spit to help pass the time ....
.........yrros m'I

Yeah isnt that how SB sign off most of your messages? But then again he can be cheeky and slip in a treat, like when he dropped cosplay on us.
As much as i listen to the boots, i feel like i dont know what to expect from the album. Panda switches up so many things in what seems like every show
Btw Sonic, how closely tied were you with the whole process of making the album? How was the experience?

He started the Roule label. It's some of my favourite music ever. I was obsessed with him when I was 17. Try Trax on Da Rocks Vol. 1&2 and Spinal Scratch. These records informed my life and listening as much as Animal Collective.

Question - is there a chance of another US tour after the album drops, or does Noah usually only do one tour per release?

There were small tours post-Person Pitch and post-Tomboy, so it's not out of the question at all. I expect he'd play more worldwide dates.

Thanks dude. Exactly what I was looking for.
Does anyone know what the main synth or sampler in the middle of his setup is (shown below)? I don't think it's an SP-555 or 404...

i think someone identified it earlier as two Octatracks and a mixer (the big thing)
