Echoing the love for Elegy, its gorgeous and captures that haunted feeling the original bootleg had. Entire record rips.

Can't ask for folks not to set off fireworks in their neighborhood, just have to plan around it happening. And on that front if anyone needs the freebird link, just PM me. I've been there as a decades-long AC fan and know most of you likely pre-ordered and just want to hear it ASAP and not share it yourselves.
EDIT: Love to see a lack of "plz crunchatize me" posts here so in return plz continue to PM me to avoid a surge of unwanted clutter.
You're right, and I'm happy that the alternative you suggested worked out like that. I'm in that boat too so no shame just like to read all the thoughts and all

good album. elegy really is perfect. i was a little worried he wouldn't sing the chorus like he did at madrid but saving it for the very end was heart-wrenchingly gorgeous. one of his most haunting songs in a while
not 100% sold on anywhere but here but i think it could grow on me

Noah's flexing hard with his vocal melodies on "Venom's In"
successes of the album:
-- sequencing is flawless
-- love all the dub
-- vocals! my lord. Panda's, Rivka's, etc. stunning
-- guitars and bass are sounding so juicy
-- production sounds "round"
-- great balance of arrangements being trim yet fleshed out
-- i'm guessing Josh did the keys on "Just as Well"? SO good
-- every single sounds better in context
my minor complaints:
-- "Anywhere but Here" is a tad too long, especially for being 2nd song on the LP
-- the drums on "Defense" are a bit too heavy-handed and loud
-- i know they couldn't find a spot for "Virginia Tech" on this record thematically, but man it would've been a nice change-up ... may have fit after "Just as Well"

Wow, this is such a beautiful album! Some of his best work honestly. I agree, every single makes sense in context. I love how everything song is produced like its own thing. Josh did an Amazing job! I have a lot more comments I've been wanting to share, involving my connection with this album, even from an album names sake and my personal life. When I get time to my thoughts I'll respond how I feel about the album in more depth. But first impressions — it's great!

Wow it really is full surf rock. This is the best-sounding, most fully-realized Panda Bear album so far. Don't even have demoitis because there's such different elements in the recordings versus the live versions and Madrid boot. Gorgeous!

I love this playful wah-wah synth in 50mg verses. Also the song sounds way happier than on boots (I like it anyway).

This is really such a beautifully direct album. Maybe, as an adult — separating nostalgia — my second favorite work of his. Just so beautifully produced and mastered. Shows a mature artists that knows their craft. Really does show a new direction for me. A more realized continuation of buoys.
