Hey! New user here! I recorded the Mothlight show last night and have no idea how to split up the tracks and what to do. Can anyone point me in the right direction to make this happen so I can share it?

Also, the show was killer! Hyper, energetic Avey back on guitar (and bass), Enjoy the Change rework was insane, everything was so energetic and magical!

Welcome! How bananas was that show last night?!
I think a lot of people use Audacity, which is a solid, free audio editing software. There are plenty of tutorials on how to use it and it's a pretty intuitive program.
I prefer Adobe Audition which isn't free but if you're interested you can probably get a free trial.

not sure if you’re the guy I talked to after the show, but thanks for checking out CA either way! Audacity is pretty straightforward, but if you can’t figure it out you can post the unsplit copy. Thanks for recording!

Fascinating that that one particular song has survived despite not appearing on Cows. Offers hope, not just for that song and others in the same circumstance, but for the world.

I don't think I was the one you talked to. I've been big fan of the live recording section for a few years
I've got a little more work to finish up then I'll either post the show as a whole or I will have figured it out an post

Well, I would have been happy to talk to you but that means there are possibly 2 recordings! I talked to a guy with shaggy brown hair who did an iPhone recording a few rows from the front

Interesting I have shaggy brown hair, but my lady friend did the recording my the back with my tascam recorder. She wasn't feeling well, volunteered and knew I didn't want to chance missing it.

What was Deakin’s role like btw? Was he primarily on guitar?
Also, thanks for taping! I’m excited to hear the recording

What was the drumming like? Was it more like the PW tour or the Slasher Flicks tour? I think this is the 5th different group that I’ve see Jeremy drum with!

Sorry it's taking me a bit to get this done. First time doing any such thing. Drumming was pretty straight forward, I'd even say a little lite. Deakin sang a ton of backups, played a decent amount of guitar and bass and controlled most of the "sounds"

deak is doing some backup woowoo vocals and on guitar, yeah. drumming isn't nearly as intense as slasher so I'd say more like PW. this is much more chill than slasher.
can i just share that i do not dig this being a bubble song

In Asheville it ranged from chill to super dancey depending on the song. Great mix of the dancey trance of the first Mothlight show and the introspective chill of the Euc tour.
I absolutely tore it up and cut a rug but I was in the minority. The audience was mostly super attentative, respectful and subdued. Super good vibes all around.

That was wild, Avey shredding the bass on Remember Mayan, damn. Thought Jeremy was gonna break his leg on Enjoy the Change...

Would it make sense the shows are a combo of OG mothlight / DT tour / Slasher tour?

It's definitely a little spacier than the Slasher shows, but the rhythms hit very hard. It makes sense, basically sounds like his 2017 tour sets but with a v beefed up rhythm section.Spoiler: show
Yes...that sounds amazing! Thanks.
