"we should really get going" or "just a frightened mother looking for her daughter" might be my favorite lyrics

"Then I talk to your breath and we enjoy the air
And I creep on your chest to the hut I have
Where I pluck a few notes on the strands of your hair
And I'm singing to you what to do
If id ask you to make funny faces with me in the mirror of the bathroom"
That song has some of my favorite lyrics. Beautiful imagery and a super pure/innocent way of expressing his feelings of love. I kinda think of Steve Kuhn's Meaning of Love as a parallel vibe in its earnestness though opposite side of the coin with reflecting on love lost.
"Never eat an apple that's just one color" always felt like a cool mantra to me.

for me 'is perfection a place, or just a glimpse at hard work's face, is there one sweet one, that i must reach for then i'm done' really captures the idea that we are all striving for an intangible societal ideal that really only exists inside our own minds, and we exhaust ourselves in pursuit of it.. it's like, is it the destination or the journey that matters? which philosophically is kind of the ethos of animal collective's music as a whole, the journey is its own destination

in the face of the unreleased glasslands stuff hits even harder i would say, after singing about alzheimers and its effects on him, this is kind of the conclusion, live for what you have not what you are trying to get

“Is it a shame to rest?
Doesn’t our light grow dim?
If I had some kerosene
I’d light all peoples’ will”
RIP OG passerby
Also
“Take a risk just for yourself and wade into the deep end of the ocean”
Is one I always loved from carrots. A lot of good ones on person pitch
