dudes... someone should try Acid Wash!
the chords are in a picture on SB's photobucket and the lyrics are on there/lyricalcollective.
it would be kind of fun if someone attempted to take those chords and lyrics and just see what they can come up with and see how different it is from the actual song when we hear it.
anyone up for it?

Just listened, amazing job coollodges!! The production sounds totally professional, and you have a great voice too. I love the twinkling synths in the background. That sound collage ( < he he) in the middle is super well done too!

Our covers album is shaping up to be amazing!!

no! trying to avoid songs that people probably won't end up doing is a good way for the project to end up unfinished

not that I speak for everyone, but I feel like people should record whatever they want and just post it here, otherwise this will never get finished in time.

moop, if you're down I thought it might be cool to try and maybe transition our covers into each other like the ATP boot, or maybe even record little transitional bits to link them together, once we hear yours.

yea I'm doing principe real now, but I've been busy and progress has been slow. and i'm going for holidays soon lol. so just go for it man. i don't see the covers as being exclusive to the first who 'bagged' it or whatever.

I'd agree with this. It seems like people often forget about these cover albums, and I think this one has the potential to be really great if we can just complete it. And it's better to have too many covers than too few. We're all friends here (for the most part), we should be able to sort out whose covers end up on the finished album in a civilized manner.
Edit: onebrianeno if you want to edit the original post to take me off Tropic of Cancer that would be great, we can use vilent_sibrate's cover (or someone else could cover it).

Take me off of Nadir, please. Not sure how likely it is that I finish and I don't want anyone to feel like they can't do it. If I finish, I finish and we just have one more cover. There can never be too many PB covers!
I'd really like to do Nadir if you don't feel up to it anymore!

Dear SamuelAaron, if you're reading this, are you still attempting a Come to Your Senses cover? I may attempt one as well
e: on second thought, I may attempt a Tropic of Cancer cover that's meant to be true-to-the-original, in the vein of my Jabberwocky cover

Just thought I'd do an update on what we have so far for simplicity's sake:
Tropic of Cancer
https://soundcloud.com/climbersmusic/to ... panda-bear
Nadir (2 covers)
https://soundcloud.com/lyiness/nadir-pb-cover
https://soundcloud.com/wrswrswrswrs/nad ... bear-cover
Sequential Circuits
https://soundcloud.com/tfias/sequential ... bear-cover
Robert Frost
https://soundcloud.com/hybrination/robe ... bear-cover
Boys Latin (a work in progress)
https://soundcloud.com/the-mechanical-m ... n-progress
Jabawaqy
https://soundcloud.com/stasz92/jabberwo ... bear-cover
Mr. Noah (someone posted an instrumental, which has since been removed, but there has been some work done on it)
Cosplay
https://soundcloud.com/jonathanwallmusic/cosplay
Popadam
https://soundcloud.com/collages/popadam
This leaves; Ms. Pacman, Butcher-Baker-Candlestick Maker, Garage, Come to Your Senses, This Side of Paradise, Faces in the Crowd, Principe Real and Mr. Noah left to go.
Note that some people have taken some of the above, but there is yet to be any work of theirs posted. Don't take this as a reason not to take any of those tracks though, as stated before:

we could add the preakness to this stuff since it seems likely the new version is recorded as a grim reaper era song!
