funny, first I thought of was "south of eden" which is kinda cool but also sounds like an emo band
then I thought "south of england" (because that's vaguely where portugal is) which you could say is the opposite of the former

very good
This has fast become my most listened to boot ever, ac or pb. So the following might be that obsession talking.
I feel like these songs exist so perfectly in the space of this performance. The stage speakers firing into this big stone square in a quiet part of madrid bathes everything in this rich, colourful reverb that makes the groovy songs groovier and the slow songs so forlorn
I know someone says this every era, but I think this might be his best collection of songs yet
also, how fucking good has noah's voice become? you wouldn't have heard him belting out something like S of E back in 2007.

This is an excellent amazing boot and I still listen to this Token almost every day. When I have time I will make a ten hour loop of the chugging and falsetto bit. If anyone else could, that would be appreciated, I'm extremely busy and we're also having a lot of work donee on our house so I'm virtually shitting in a bucket at the moment.

100%
Yeah this one has a magic of its own I think. The huge space suits these songs so well.. Love of My Life especially sounds so distant and melancholic, I love it. Remarkably strong set and performance too, possibly the best he's ever sounded live. Thanks so much dabubs for recording

same here. i feel this with a few other panda boots like gov's island 2010. not the greatest quality as a whole but it has its own magic, i think. religious bop from this boot is definitely my most played song since october

For real I turned this on yesterday and really settled on this sound being his best in a long while. To pull out some comparisons it's like electric Buoys. The two, homies and Buoys, come together well on this material. It sounds like it's really evolving.

^sweet thanks! i really like love of my life, ends meet, and religious bop, but the more lowkey left in the cold and s of e don't do much for me. really cool versions of the older songs too

Ooh I'm sure you'll come around on the slow tunes, I love them. Somebody compared them to Leonard Cohen I think which is really interesting, at least with my limited familiarity of cohen

I really like Ends meet now, it's like a dope old pop song you would find off a compilation CD that's damaged, so it warps up and down while you listen to it. This is my personal headcanon for it but it's such a cute and unique context to view it through

i like that, i'm really digging religious bop now too. these songs really get stuck in your head. also it sounds like in token he replaced the jelly ass line with 'a smack on a bubble butt' lol
fucked up: am digging this more than time skiffs atm. probably cause i listened to those boots a million times before the album came out. now time to over listen to this one and ruin this upcoming album as well, as is AC tradition!
