Was anybody at the show last night? How did piggy’s sound? How about strangers? Any big updates there? Here’s hoping for boots soon!

Piggy's was great but unlike a lot of their live material it felt like they shortened it a bit. It transitioned really well into Strangers/Broke. If I was less familiar with the band I would have assumed the two songs were a medley

I wonder if they'll play Bridge to Quiet (title track). Would be tight and seems relatively str8 forward to perform

that song feels like it could be the new WWIWS live almost.

Weird to see a setlist w/o Prestor/Defeat so glad they played those the first night. But that's sick Down Down and now Magicians likewise go way back to those Music Box sets spring '18

Half the damn set from spring '18 are still around which is wild... think thats the longest gap in live-to-release since I guess MPP not including things that never really got full release like Glasslands/DT tour stuff.

no problem!! hope you all dig it. we got lucky with a spot right in front of abby & the sound dude, and were happy enough with the recording that we didn't do much of any mixing (just some light EQ to cut back on some harsher frequencies that were coming through). that said, if anyone wants the wav files to do a little extra sweetening, happy to share – just reach out!

Not that we needed anymore confirmation after the freebird was basically confirmed, but Dave definitely says Time Skiffs.

Sorry fellas I failed you guys on the boot end, was hard to focus on the show while worrying about recording. Chose being present in the moment, but it seems like a boot is likely coming anyway if hunks recorded it.

Consider Asheville booted! Abby-approved and everything. Met some incredible people, venue was stellar and the boys have leveled up in every way. Glad you chose to enjoy yourself! And shout out to everyone who was at the playground afterparty too!!

Exciting times, everyone! See y’all in Lexington tonight!!

Let's just say I made pudding.

Really enjoying the vibe of these new songs, I barely listened to the boots apart from going mental about Defeat like three years ago or whenever. Feels like a hell of a long time since we had new AC to talk and buzz about. :flail:

Edit: I'm signed in on slightly different accounts on different devices, sorry for the confusion.

These songs sound better than ever. Love the new vocals on gem and I and the new stride right. Didn’t love the changes to Cherokee, feels a little less lively but overall I’m
Hyped. Anybody know if there’s any recordings of last nights show on Cincy or anybody recording Lexington? I gotta hear passerby and strangers

someone on the subreddit mentioned recording video of the whole show in cinci, i saw someone with a camera in the crowd too.

people in charge of the venue also had cameras set up all around the little stage and were projecting it onto a big board on the building behind the crowd, so high quality footage of jeremy and anco's sets probably exists somewhere on a hard drive in a drawer at 5/3rds bank somewhere

and that footage will be put in the same place as the stuff taken at music box

idk if anyone else would really dig this, but once they're touring the album post-release, i think it'd be really cool to see them keep the same setlist for multiple nights. i could see people thinking it's less exciting, but i think it also creates a more performance-oriented vibe where your favorite boot from the tour isn't just gonna be the one with the best setlist. exciting in its own way imo
