I just had a major eargasm while laying in bed. I had just woken up from a party the day before and i put on Alvin Row and during the 'run' part a constant shiver down my whole body and it was amazing! It also happened during the 'dear alvin' part... :drugz:

Google's About to Ruin YouTube by Squeezing Indie Labels

The company's head of content Robert Kyncl told the FT that it plans to start blocking videos from indie labels that haven't signed licensing deals "in a matter of days." The FT says that these labels include XL Recordings and Domino Records, whose rosters include Adele, Animal Collective, Arctic Monkeys, and loads of other popular artists.

Tour plans?

I think this is probably an error, because the band was scheduled to play the Madison Theater on July 18, 2013, as one of the make-up shows after the first few cancellations, but then that date was also cornpilled (and the actual date ended up being December 5)

The "keys to the kingdom" bit?

The lyric, "I've got the keys to the kingdom / and the devil can't do me no harm" is taken from a Washington Philips song. It's a cover!

There's also some intros where they played a snippet of We Bid You Goodnight, a traditional folk song covered by the Grateful Dead.

Thanks for pointing that out. I couldn't place that part, but yeah it's a sort of medley of covers. When was the last time the AC did a cover? Can't seem to remember.

They did 2 Nirvana covers: On a Plain circa 2004 and Polly, the b-side to the Purple Bottle single. Other than that I don't know of any, but they could very well exist.

I love the on a plain cover. Do you remember when there was all that hype about Amazon.com listing some release with an AC cover of Neutral Milk Hotel's "communist's daughter"? (or perhaps some other song)

That was weird.

that was my favorite Dragnet episode as a kid, almost made me want to paint half of my face blue as well until I realized people would think I was just a huge Braveheart fan or something. Thanks Mel.

He never really had much to do when playing that song to begin with besides backing vox, but he doesn't even sing here (was this immediately before or after one of those strep-throat periods? Can't remember)

He should have done the Bob Nastanovich role and just danced around throughout, that's what he did during the live shows from that time

I'm sorry, I don't even dislike Centipede Hz that much that video has to be the most boring of all AC live videos. Poor Avey.

it just seems rlly awkward, and the camera is forced to avoid avey almost completely. seems passive aggressive that he wouldnt figure out a way to look like he was doing something

iirc that video happened right before the initial cancellations happened, and Avey is like that in the video because he was starting to get sick/couldn't sing

A couple of my favorite non-fans' reactions to hearing AnCo:

My sister, hearing Turn Into Something: "These people sound like they don't bathe."

My roommate, after I listened to Visiting Friends while I took a shower: "What were you listening to in there? It sounded like you were getting abducted by aliens."
