I wouldn't mind if there were no singles at all.
Just hope it's not half the album again.

I wouldn't oppose to listening to a bunch of singles from the new album, a la tomboy, but I'd prefer to enter the next one fresh. seeing pbear live is a whole other experience, and doesn't really count as 'spoiling' the first listen of the new album, imo.

I just want one single. A single single to tide me over through these dark times.

'Til I Die is so unbelievably good. I really hope all the songs on the ATP boot make it onto the album.

Is he using the Octatrack on this album? I had to sell mine a few years ago because I couldn't afford to keep it, but I just bought a new one and it's insane.

Yeah he's using an octatrack. I toyed with the idea of getting one a year or so ago, though I didn't see how it would neccesairely be any better than just using Ableton so I passed. Still though, it's an awesome tool with a lot of great effects and Panda seems to be taking advantage of that.

For what my band is doing live, it's going to be a lot easier to setup than an Ableton set (and I have a natural aversion to playing live with a laptop). It's also a lot more musical in my opinion. Obviously they have different purposes and I'll continue demoing with Ableton.
This was after two days of messing with it:

I'm arpeggiating my friend's synth with the Octa's midi and then running the synth back through the Octa's effects.
Anyway, back to Panda discussion, just stoked to find out he's using the Octa.

I'm not sure but it seems like it freebirded just a couple of week after it was announced... or something like that. and came out for real a little later. Unlike Reaper, we didn't even know it was happening until it was almost out. a freebird isn't a "surprise" release though my b

No no...it freebirded but only like a week or 2 before it was due out. It was just an album that was announced out of nowhere in the summer of 2010 and had a release scheduled for that same October. No long hype, just nice quick announcement and release.

Is there any chance that "Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper" is going to see the light of day on October? What are your guessings about the release date, dudes?
I went with October 13th (hopefully before, like for the summer, it'd be awsome! Noah really likes to take his time though)

I'm guessing it's going to come out in the winter time, probably in December or later. I wouldn't count on it coming out in the fall, since they said that'd be the earliest it come out, as if that's the best case scenario.
Unless, of course, Sonic can work his studio sorcery and speed things up hehe.
