Now listening to Tomboy, imagining — what if it was the new forthcoming album? Would it meet my expectations? And I have to admit that it sounds so fresh. I'd be happy to get an album like this, just with new songs. But so far I am quite happy to listen to what I got — Tomboy.

The only time I didn't enjoy the production of Tomboy, was the moment when I first heard the new versions of the songs (the album ones) compared to the singles versions. Now I really love how they are on the album. Tomboy is great.

Yes I have. I like it a lot, just not into listening to it lately. It's rather relaxed while Tomboy is more focused to me. Latter gives me kind of a spiritual feeling, I don't get it from PP.
PP is like having fun and relaxing in a pool, and Tomboy is like concentration, sort of a religious practice. Not literally, just to compare.

Got my tickets for the 9:30 show. Haven't been this excited for a show since the first time I saw AC.
that last part of benfica, those high notes, made it my favourite song from tomboy

How likely would it be for panda to come to australia? I would seriously consider traveling across the ocean for him. Cos it seems OZ is the closest place in relation to me where he would think of going.
Also. How easy or how often does it happen that one would get the chance to meet him after a show?

Would love for panda to come to Aus although it doesn't seem likely unless he's picked for a festival later in the year. I was fortunate enough to meet Noah after catching up with Josh for coffee on the last tour but I feel like if you were to wait outside the venue long enough you'd probably have a good chance of meeting him after a show. Alternatively if you head to the venue a few hours before the show kicks off then you might be able to catch him after his soundcheck!

I'm about 71.3% positive that Panda Bear samples Super Street Fighter 4 "Solar Eclipse"
lmao i can picture the crowd at the lie down concert all covered in that giant slice ofhot bread like its a blanket.. call me crazy but thats a good metaphore for live music

uh, i think i was the one who first found it actually
i posted the link a few pages back (and i think dearest put the post in the samples thread, too)
it was kind of a coincidence, actually - i'd been listening to a lot of Ladysmith Black Mambazo at the time Cosplay freebirded, and it sounded almost exactly like them.
thing is, i'm still not 100% convinced that recording is what Noah sampled - there's a bunch of recordings of Mbube out there, and there are a few parts of Cosplay that don't quite sound exactly right to me. this is just the one that sounded most similar to me, i guess.

Thanks for the reply Yegarma!
Yeah, I was curious - how somebody could identify it almost immediately after the song freebirded. Nice coincidence!
And first I thought those 'eh-eh-eh' all the way through the song were by Noah, now I know it's from the sample.

Also, anybody please - can you share any bootlegs of new material with me? Except the one from ATP - I got it. Is there actually anything better than the one from ATP?
If this is a totally inappropriate request - sorry!

Quality wise - no there aren't any better than ATP. There have been other performances recorded, but on iPhones :/ The Barcelona show has two new songs that weren't played at ATP. They can all be found for download in Live Discussion.

What exactly were these remixes people were alluding to earlier in the thread? I missed the boat on that. Can someone jog my memory?
There were also talks of the preakness being released...is there a different version than what was released on the keep mixtape?

Live, he played a 140bpm wind tunnel version of The Preakness. At some point, Sonic Boom told us the plan was to release this version officially but we've had nothing since. We also heard that once the Tomboy vinyl boxset sold out, we might then see lossless digital versions of Noah's album mix but we've heard nothing since.

We already have a large chunk of the single mixes in lossless

I think I saw it when yegarma first posted it or in the AC samples thread. You should definitely check out that thread if you haven't yet.
