also, sonic! there are parts to me that sound like vocoder/death, especially the end of sequential circuits (that part is especially terrifying when stoned in a dark room)

is the vocoder/death saying anything? like lyrics or something?

idk if i should put this here, or if he's ever mentioned it, but you guys might be interested in knowing pk just co-produced the new cloudland canyon album that's out next week... it's pretty sweet if you're into kraut-y/disco-y stuff (or just sonic boom in general). there's even a tiny song "for pk" :c00l:

I vaguely know a guy living in Dublin who said Pete worked with him. I never got around to listening to that EP actually, thanks for reminding me (me)

Hmmm.....

I never heard that track before .......its sweet

I DID do some mixing / weeding / processing /advising for the new CC lp - though , in honesty , it was early on and the sessions wete iver a long period . I dont have the LP yet .
Cloudland canyon can be really sweet . kip was going thru 1st stages of divorce & i got an horrendous flu from flying in a feezing cold plane , but I felt I did some good work .
I dont know how much I appear on the record - i certainly didnt work on this song .

The vox gets a little into PB zone though . Nice.....

I hope death sounds like a vocoder .....

A female one w enya's tonsils ....

Its just loops of vowel formants processing summit from the track
I'm sure 'yoyoyo' means sum thing in at least one language......

But mostly it's just saying
" c o n n e c t t t t " Xpk

When listening to Come to Your Senses yesterday, I was paying close attention to the pulsing synth that plays on every beat (or maybe just before every beat). I never noticed the "texture" of that synth, but once I focused on it it brought up an image of a tiny mouth with sharp teeth opening and closing in a persistent, nagging way.

A neat little detail that goes along with my perception of what the song is about.

I've probably said this before but the Mr Noah EP sound's really cool at 33rpm

i prefer listening to LPs meant to be spun at 33rpm and speeding them up to 45, making the vocals chipmunk-like and vital and all the music sounds happyhardcore or if it's rock then hyperpop rocky kinda

tried to imagine the songs slowed down ... i think my fave slowed down would be 'this side of paradise'
