Hmmm any chance we will get a digital version of the single mixes? I only have vinyl rips of it aside from the single releases.

Remember when you said you would upload the single mix of the album? I have not forgotten.
I purchased the Tomboy CD and the single mixes digitally. I don't do vinyl.

Wow, Tomboy is my favorite album of all time and I didn't know about all of the single mixes! I think I'll need to pick up the boxset myself and re-live the experience, this is freakin' sweet

Heya
Yeah , i know !
.... i said "when it is sold out "
Copies for 20 bux odd still at Paw Tracks .... Suggest to me that day didn't arrive yet .
I'll always honour my word . And i remember what i said .
I get it that in these internet daze people are quick to take music that was not offered for free by the artist and think thats acceptable . i do not .
Unfortunately , purchasing Tomboy does not give you the right to these extra tracks that were on the cancer charity box.
Sorry u 'dont do vinyl' . these are vinyl only tracks until its sold out i'm afraid...
There are plenty of free gifts given .....
but you have to remember this is how musicians & their labels make their living ...
in general , i do not believe sharing music not intended for such is beneficial to smaller artists .or the music biz . I'm sorry . Just my opinion based on hard empirical experience
I'll always honour my word .
Feel free to try me again if you see that disappear from the paw tracks site .
Hope its gooing god otherwise . Xpk

I consider Tomboy one of the most important albums in my life, it showed me the spectrum that music really is. I clearly remember the 1st time I listened to that album. Thanks for that gift, Noah & Pete
Nobody asked me, but the records/bands that have marked my life chronologically are:
Más (Alejandro Sanz)
Romance (Luis Miguel)
Justified (Justin Timberlake)
PXNDX (Para Ti Con Desprecio)
So Far, So Good... So What! (Megadeth)
Caifanes (Caifanes album)
El Mar No Cesa (Héroes del Silencio)
David Bowie (David Bowie 1967)
Is This It (The Strokes)
Devotion (Beach House)
Kanye West (808s and Heartbreak... This was my introduction to Hip-Hop)
Congratulations (MGMT)
Tomboy (Panda Bear)
Pet Sounds (Beach Boys)
Aphex Twin (I Care Because You Do...)
I'm sure I'm forgetting some and I could name 100 more, but those are key & came to mind 1st. Those artists are very important to me, they opened doors for me

I guess what I was trying to say was that if the remaining single mixes were available on Itunes I would purchase them. It is just a shame for me as a consumer that the box set was not released in multiple formats.
This conversation makes me not want to listen to Tomboy. This is a bummer.

I get that. I purchased Tomboy on iTunes, vinyl, deluxe edition, all of vinyl singles. I'm greedy and a completionist so I want the mp3s of those single mixes too, ha!
...but having that would diminish incentive for those who didn't buy the deluxe edit yet!? & we've been spoiled all too much anyways. So it's something to look forward to!

wait are yal just talking about the mp3s of the actually released singles and their bsides? cuz the official mp3 for those should be somewhere, i mean they were officially released prior to TB. but if u mean pbs mixes of the tracks on side 2 than a quality vinyl rip is also floating around somewhere. whats the big idea, u just want it to be from itunes?

plus the single mixes are.... well, they aren't the final mixes... (or the post--final mixes). tho i do like a few details of some, like the way that crazy synth line sounds in the beginning of friendship bracelet. fuck tomboy is beautiful/perfect omg.

The opposite man, last night I arranged all tomboy stuff I have and put it on repeat... It is amazing how spoiled we are with these guys... I mean it seems that I (we) move on to the next active new piece of work and forget how amazing their last was. Mind blowing... how sad will it be when they stop publishing music.

I've been waiting for a long time on the digital files of both the single mixes and the full fat PK redux mixes but the man was very fair and clear when he first mentioned it. If those boxsets are still on sale, it's literally taking money away from cancer research to share the files. Granted, I would pay good money for them, as would most, but that's not the point.

Is the box set the 4xLP on Paw Tracks for like $20 right now? I've always just had the white vinyl version. If so I'm gonna buy that up ASAP.

I listen to the single mixes lp a lot. It's so great having it on a single lp. Jammed it last night actually. One of the reasons I'm so excited for the painting with vinyl is, it's the first AC album on a single lp in, I don't know how long.

I doubt he's surprised by some of our ravenous behavior being Animal Collective fans. I remember when he threw us that 2008 version of Surfer's Hymn. That did nothing to sate my appetite.

Ordered a box set today. Can't wait to get it
Also, that Scheherazade single mix is crazy good. I almost wish that the sample used on Mercury Man was kept in the final version.

not a wasted moments on that one. alsatian friendship and afterburner are so awesome cuz after 5 tracks of amazing and very concise songs u get some that are a little more spaced out/spread out/complex structurally. ugh side b <3 <3 <3

i think the songs are kind of all perfect... there's this really nice sustained vibe throughout that is really peaceful and meditative but kinda heavy. so into it... afterburner has especially nice production, that pumping bass is delicious
