So Atiba posted a picture on Instagram of his bro and Dave and Josh eating tacos and josh is wearing a shirt that looks like it has the grim reaper dude from Danny's visuals on it. Is this a thing I can buy? I want!!!

It was an exclusive at the Bowery Ballroom PB run, so it's doubtful...

And overall the production quality over this era is AMAZING -- I'm loving the 'hollow in a bedroomy vibe but the Boom tracks smash everything for the depth and breadth of vision and scope/audio textural environments

Ah fuckit I wanna know everything about every sound on these tracks, I want a Pete walkthrough audio commentary dvd lol from first impressions of the demos onwards.... Every sound, every sample.....

if Lisbon Zoo/Jabbawocky was a track on PBVSGR similar to how Good Girl/Carrots exists i wouldn't have even been mad :ugeek:

this track could have used some of that polishing and subduing that they applied to Jabba.... to me, this "studio" version of og faces just sounds kinda gross and sloppy especially with that dumb bassline on top.

this era would have ended perfectly with swallow hallow

i'd guess he doesnt like it as much as those tracks and it's more just for us. also, it would have had to have been mastered and ready way sooner to be on the LP. with this, he just had to do a digital mastering then hand it off for the download.

I reckon it'll appear on a crosswords EP reissue ten years from now

Welcome to Bizarro me. You could not be more wrong. You are the exact opposite of correct.

ahahaah this cant be real stan has found his exact opposite, i specifically remember you using the word "subdued" in a negative way towards jabbawocky

I really like how they smoothed and slicked out the songs compared to the live versions. OG Faces could have definitely improved from that process but instead we get what sounds like a bootleg with some weird bassline on it. It's just my opinion.

Ha ....chalk and cheese .....an old CA GR staple ....!
This track had all the love and time that all the tracks had - including being mastered 3 times .
It was considered by Noah not to fit the clusters he put together for the EP , LP & then 2nd Lp .
Time wise it wasn't physically possible to get everything overdubbed and edited and mixed and mastered ( forget the websight , remixes , artwork , videos , mix tapes & animations etc etc )

The music essentially had 3 people on the recording session and two people working on it beyond ,
....most records have teams of engineers , producers , mixers , programmers etc etc .
Lisbon Zoo was gonna lie in the offcuts , bit once the EP was done i asked Noah if i could shoot
at it & he was down . We figured you might as well have the lot .....nothing deserved not to be released

The lp originally was meant to be 35 mins ......
You got at least double I believe .

swallow dates from pre -GR release date , and is the rest of his demos and
wurking idears . Recorded at night during the CHz sessions in new mexico .

I will tell you tho that season of the which is not over !
Expect something more .....may bee black fry day vibes ....
.....and if yr REALLY nice to each other ,.....theres always Xmas ...
Hope its gooing god . All points. xpetek

Think it probably has to be AC at this stage. Unless Noah is planning on giving us some of his clothes or samples of his DNA. Guess these ironic release dates pretty much confirm the new album is a stance against consumerism. Deak isn't on it because he adores shopping

With the album, EPs, website remixes, ATP rehearsals, Swallow at the Hollow, and Lisbon Zoo, we got like > 3 hours of Panda jams in the last year. and somehow even more to come?? PK & PB going above and beyond

Yeah, massive thanks to Pete for all he's done to get all this music out there. I haven't liked every choice but I've buzzed off so much of this, there's over an hour of music I've absolutely adored which has meant a lot to me during a pretty tough year. Highlight has been Selfish Gene, in both ATP and studio versions and probably the stylistic levity of some of these songs. Bouncy and fun. I listened to the album pretty much every time I drove to and from visiting my wife when she was in hospital for a couple of months and I'll never forget that.

Immensely seconding the thanks. Some really good times have been had with these tunes in the past two years. Crosswords EP came out during a really tough period of time (that still might as well be ongoing) and there's a specific eye-opening memory connected to Cosplay that I'm going to treasure forever. Pete and Noah have been on it like rapid-fire all year and it's been a great year to be a fan. Thank y'all so much.

I can picture Noah opening his show with this, coming out in a hoody, then breaking out a freestyle rap beastie Boys style!

Also, thank you master Pete K, your presence is the already a present, but hearing there's more is just incredible!

We never got these, right? I mean, I'm not at all complaining -- we're practically drowning in PBVSGR at this point (in a good way) but I forgot about this and just came across this old post from July.

Sonic, any insight into this lysergic-esque "spore body" you posted? It looks like something one should be flying around in while jamming on all the GR tunes. Did you ever consult it for tracking/mixing guidance?
