Maybe if they made a single edit without the intro.
I swear there's an actual promo CD somewhere with that exact version, lol
also thanks for the FACT, Scooter! I love Animal Collective FACTS, they beat rumours and made-up stuff any day

Thanks for clearing that up. I've been tempted for a number of years to buy the promo CD off eBay and find out.

I was thinking that with all these Avey voice problems, the next AC album will either have a more relaxed sound/vocal delivery or that deakin and panda could take over for the majority of the songs, either way would be pretty cool
also at the local public radio station I volunteer at they have the full wwiws available to stick into our weekly setlists, stranger though is the fact that they also have Wet Wings by Dan Deacon

I had a dream that animal collective had an album between spirit and danse (but it had all four members for some reason) and it was a more comical album, like each of the members were talk-singing about their place in the music industry/life, and there was an indian sounding guy at the end that i assumed was a guest musician

Hey guys this might not be the right thread to ask, but I'm looking for a Strawberry Jam video I saw on here a long time (it seems like it, at least) ago. I guess it was like an interview where they talked about the sounds on the album, and I remember the visuals were very blissed out like sepia. I think it was filmed at least partially from a beach, and I also remember them playing with a beachball? I've been looking on and off every once in a while and have never come up with anything. Please help!

Is it this one? If so, I am the one who actually uploaded it! It showed up on eBay back in 2008 (when I was way more active on CA) and so I bought it not knowing what it was. I ripped the DVD and uploaded it. I guess it was an "electronic press kit". I got a notification at some point that Domino has the right to it but they ultimately allowed me to just keep it up!

Man that's exactly it! Just as good as I remember. There is a friend who I got into Animal Collective with that really showed me this album in a new way after I had gone through and decided which ones I liked right off the bat (Rev Green, #1, Derek are the ones that immediately come to mind). He kept me listening to it and I eventually stumbled on this video and when I heard "real electronic, but organic" I thought "YES! That's exactly it!" and everything just clicked and I heard every song in a completely different light. Animal Collective sounds have always been super organic to me, but SJ feels completely unique even still for me. Songs like Unsolved Mysteries and WWL just took on this bigger form to me and I felt completely differently about the work as a whole. I just love the sound so much and its definitely one of my favorite albums and feels so cohesive and chaotic and just filled with whatever makes albums good (who can really say?). I'm sure I hit a similar experience with all the albums in some way or another (as I'm sure its happened with lots of people on here), but I like that I can really pinpoint a turning point for this one. I'm glad I can finally show this to friend.
Also as a side note, something about the way Panda interviews in this one reminds me so much of Fish Sticks for some reason.
"The name of the album came from, I was sitting on a plane and I got my little tray of food. On this tray of food there was a little packet of strawberry jam, and I peeled it open, and I remember thinking when I saw this stuff, this strawberry jam, like it would be really sweet if the music, the sounds on the album felt like the way that the strawberry jam looked."
p.s. Track 6 on the panda atp boot sounds like this too with the wall of what seems like guitar sound. Where you feel the chord changes more than hear them. Not the same as SJ exactly, but definitely still organic in a similar way

luckily common sense quickly prevailed over that idea
