I have to agree here. I'm all for friend/family collabs and such, but they need to start working with other people desperately. Abby's goofy skeletons and ghosts shtick in nearly all of her projects is really wearing thin. I'm STILL bitter about the In the Flowers video!

That being said, the stuff she did for the Centipede Hz radio streams was really cool.
Not trying to hate on Abby, she seems sweet. I just wish AC dudes would shop around video ideas a little more.

I never knew aves had a twitter. Huh. We'll anyway yeah the video was sick ! This band has not yet once disappointed me since being on board which is pretty incredible. Love love love : )

Monkey Riches vid might be my 4th favorite after WCWAR, Bluish, and My Girls

I dont mind the vid, its pretty cute and slightly creepy in a child-like way. I think it fits with the song. I would like for them to maybe explore working with other people on some music vids, but I think Abby has made a lot of really cool stuff for them in the past that I love so I definitely don't think they should leave her out entirely. I just think it'd be nice to get a little variety in music vid styles.

unfortunately it's not my tattoo, it was this kids who i met at a festival this summer and i just had to take a picture!

i was digging the whole puppet thing but the video effects were sorta annoying and cluttered. even the cuts and transitions aren't on time with the song. never been of fan of most things abby does for the band and sadly this is no exception. song still rules tho

I've tried listening to this album like 4 times, and every time I do I just get so, so sad.
Silver lining: this disappointment has inspired me to re-listen to Down There and STGSTV. I always liked STGSTV, but I think I've developed a new appreciation for it over the past few days. I forgot how nice it was to hear him sing without a goddamn flanger on his voice..

i really liked the video - feels really cutesy / cheesey and stuff. i kind of wish ac vids as a whole would move away from being story driven, though - this vid and the monkey riches one (and maybe even today's supernatural?) feel tied to some kind of narrative (even if they're kind of loose narratives). I'd rather just see more stuff like the original chz broadcast vids.

but yeah, as far as working with friends/family, abby and danny perez are like the best at visualizing ac's songs so all the haters can just stfu

Ditto on all of this. Abby seems incredibly cool, but i've found most of the stuff she's done for the band to be a bit amateurish. With that said I do really like some of her watercolors.

Dave actually seems to have a stronger visual aesthetic, going by things like his photography and the cover of Feels.

I said this when TS video came out, but AC vids need to NOT be HD, the entire atmosphere of digital hd is very far from what most ac music sounds like imo
