I caught the AC / FlyLo show there in 2012 and it was mind-bending in all the best ways, despite the abysmal crowd. I remember them throwing some real stank on Peacebone.

yess!! didnt avey get on the floor during the scream part of peacebone or am i misremembering that....

Like jump down off stage? Couldn't tell ya, I wasn't close enough. But it wouldn't surprise me!

I found their Spotify "jukebox" playlist of songs they wanted to share. Been trying to guess who chose each track. I think Panda or Avey put some Brazilian/Portuguese tracks in there and I've been down an MPB rabbit hole ever since

Música Popular Brasileira. Usually means the post-bossa nova music from Brazil starting in the 60's.
The track from the jukebox is Magnolia by Jorge Ben Jor, the album it's from is amazing.

Nice find thx. I’ve been on this kick too. “Eu Sou Como Você É” by Lô Borges rules. Luiz Bonfá’s Introspection album, “Jardim dos Deuses” by Joyce and even newer stuff like “Sereia Sentimental” by Sessa too. No idea what they’re singing, but it moves me!

Hehe, I'd wager Noah is a good match for brazil stuff. He also put this on a mix back around PBMTGR release

Thanks for the recs! I'd seen the introspection album but never got around to listening to it, should've listened sooner. I've been loving:
Forca Bruta - Jorge Ben Jor
De Hollanda - Chico Buarque

Yeah, I thought so too just because of the Portuguese. Also, love that album

Painting With sure hits hard and different in 2021. I loved it when it first came out, but it's almost as if the lyrics were meant to truly reach us now.
AnCo truly always years ahead of the crowd :)

Hell yeah!!! Even if a wax pressing is redundant considering the source, it'd be sweeeeet to have

listening to the 2004 La Fondation Cartier boot on this lovely humid day. i like a lot this mini-era where the guitars are just super loud and ambient and amorphous. what a gift 206 is...
