I think that a collaboration with Daft Punk is a bit of a stretch but I can picture this next record having that Parisienne sound of French House. A nearly full-fledged electronic album from AnCo would be such a bold and unexpected step and could probably explain why we haven't heard any new live sets (aside from a few DJ sessions).

but anyways i don't think they're producing - the boys have written/rec'd/prod it themselves and DP are only MIXING to bring out a new flavour...... and its gonna kill hahaha

IIRC someone talked to Deak at a DJ set and he said he was going into the studio himself in June

Deakin and AnCo is gonna drop on the same day

The main reason why DP seems unlikely to me is because they could work with pretty much anyone they wanted to at this point. on RAM they were working with their musical heroes. so why would they pick AC next?

and hey, maybe they're looking to change things up, move away from mainstream pop, and AC is exactly who they wanna work with. idk. but it seems unlikely to me

Daft Punk have been my favourite favourites for 18 years and Animal Collective my favourite favourites since 2007, who changed my life more than anyone ever but I don't see this happening. If it did, my knob would shoot off out the window into the mouth of a passing pilot who would crash into a child's playground. I don't want it to happen for that reason.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. We can already assume Daft Punk didn't produce based on what we've seen but mixing is a different issue. That task is not as intense or laborious. JUST LET ME DREAM GAWDAYUM!!
