This post is with emphasis on the cows show in Austin. It’s april 13th, I awake from my slumber and randomly check out avey’s tour Dates. Yup, he’s playing on my birthday in my home state. Done deal.

The show was great (not sung tongs level but still amazing). I’m in the second row of Antone’s, and in front of me stands the blonde and human version of Hathor (the Egyptian god of love). 5’2/3 (which is important bc I’m also short). Black striped tank top concealed by pink overalls. The outfit is completed with a southwestern handbag and an 80’s era punk rocker haircut. As the vocals climax and Jeremy shreds the fucking drums, our dancing gets a little more aggressive.

You know how when you say something really embarrassing to a group of people and you can’t get it out of your head no matter what?

I can’t get the sensation of this girl grinding against my body and violently thrashing into my chest out of my head. God it felt so right. The only bummer is that her bf was standing to her left and kept glaring in my direction.

Anyway, if you happen to read this and you happen to be the bf in question, I apologize for grinding up on your bae. Very happy for you and I wish your relationship success.

However, if you’re reading this and you’ve often been compared to the Egyptian god of love/or you’re just a cute little anco bunny... please help me quench my fever.

can we bring back awards this year just so i can vote this as the worst thing i read in 2019

I really hate to mine something from reddit, but I posted about the NYU Ghostface show they opened for and got this gem of a reply
wrote:
I was at this show (September 2006) as a freshman - AC's set was phenomenal. I know that show had a huge impact on a lot of young musicians that night, it came up a lot over the years as a shared influence / touchstone.

As far as Geologist being worried that people would only show up for Ghostface - it was a "surprise" show that NYU would put on every year for freshmen, nobody knew who was going to be performing that night besides the organizers and some of their friends. I was already an AC fan at the time and flipped out when I saw their merch table on the way in. The show was organized by NYU's Program Board (student-led group that puts on shows). Apparently Avey was a member in the late '90s / 2000-ish when he was at NYU.

Every few years I search around and try to find a bootleg, no luck so far. Set was mostly (unreleased at the time) Strawberry Jam material + some Feels and "We Tigers" (crowd went nuts at that one). The show was super loud, lots of Avey screams, they played "Safer" halfway through and totally lost the people in the crowd who already had no idea what was going on (it was so good). My ears were ringing for about 2 days after. My business school roommate hated the show so much and brought it up constantly for the rest of the year.

The main thing I remember about Ghostface's set was he had a crew of like 12 guys up on stage with him but they only got to take one verse each, mostly they were just chilling / drinking behind Ghostface and texting on their flip phones. Avey watched the whole set from stage right, guess he's a fan.

Can confirm that Haley Joel Osment was freaking out right in the front and Ghostface called "all the ladies" to the stage for his last song then disappeared with them backstage afterwards. A girl from my math class was grinding on him throughout the song. A friend got backstage to meet AC but was too nervous to talk to Avey/Panda (said Geo & Deakin were cool).

Funny, I went to these exact shows  only ones missing are post-CHz denver and Santa Fe 2019. didn't see any AnCo bunnies or Egyptian gods, but I got pretty close to that realm when I took a 50mg of edibles before the sung tongs show

edit: also funny that i forgot that i already replied to the person's comment and was so taken aback that I didn't realize that before
