Good analogy!

Also archie there is no vocoder on that track

aw true i thought that thing 0:33 that recurs after each verse stanza was 4 sure a vocoder or something similar, sounds very sonic boom ish, so does the way the vocals sound so thick and almost autotuned but they seem not to be. just speculation based on the way sonic booms last album n grim reaper was mixed

I keep hearing Damon Albarn in that “I can’t feel a thang” sample. Imagine PB on a Gorillaz track.

Late to this "Never Ending Game" hype but DAYUM. This is incredible. I think I prefer it to Buoys right off the bat. Really hoping the stuff he's working on with Pete is along the lines of this.

Really good, especially Pedinchar. It's definitely him on drums, wonder if he's playing anything else

the backup vox on maria do o and olivia kind of sound like him. but its probably her voice but noah produced them the way he does his own.

Do you listen to Pega Monstro? Band she's in with her sister, their last two albums blew me away cannot wait for what they make next.

Loving the ep, pb's drums sound awesome. Might be his acoustic guitar playing too?

Another new remix today, of the song Woo! by Remi Wolf. I think I may like this one even more than the Never Ending Game remix.

It's pretty good, but forgettable. Im not a big fan of the vocals and I think the original is actually better. Never Ending Game is the superior song imo. Cool to have a new PB song/remix though

yeah this is awesome. he's on a roll lately. only complaint is that it's too short! although it works well on repeat IMO.

Really hope he puts out a collection of his remixes one day. Would love to have them all compiled on one disc

Heck yeah, this gets better with each listen! I haven't heard the original but suspect that's PB on drums too? And maybe it's the shorter length, but it falls in line with a lot of his 2019 AC songs imo...like it could've been written alongside them. I love that he still likes to turn his remixes into basically his own songs :c00l:

Hey guys maybe you can help me with this. On the outro of ‘Olivia’ from the Maria Reis ep (where she just repeats Olivia) there’s this high voice harmony part that reminds me of this other song I just can’t think of. Does this sound familiar to any of y’all?? What a great little record man this is so good

It really is great. Peebs' drumming works really well on that EP and Maria's voice is beautiful. But I must say Never Ending Game is still my earworm. I'm really excited for whatever he and AC are cooking up next considering the quality of even the one off material that's being put out

that woo remix is his best since boneless
i mean... DAMN that’s good
those drums & samples of her voice make that shine

never ending game is aight
but the mix and guitar tone is so off to me
and i’m over the “hocketting” and similar vocal techniques

Yeah! the melody definitely sounds like Annie(especially if you just whistle the main bit) but the Brazilian thing definitely clicked with me when winx brought it up. Definitely sounds like early gal costa.. que pena and baby especially.. I get this feeling with a lot of AC related songs though. The first time I heard That it Won’t Grow I felt like I was hearing something I already knew

Remi Wolf is definitely deserving of checking out, outside of the remix. I'm Allergic to Dogs is a great EP IMO. It's like 90s/2000s pop mixed with soul/funk. Her live stuff is really good too

Edit also released a great single today

This is incredible! When I saw it was a remix I wasn't it expecting it to basically be a whole new panda bear track. I hope this is representative of a new direction he is going.

Wow I finally listened to this and am completely floored, I love how he makes his voice sound like violins in those little bursts in the verse.

And this hocketing ins the best since Boys Latin...

panda's "never ending game" remix is really something special, he totally elevated the original to this epic indie psych pop anthem. the lyrics even read like something he would write. so good
