Defeat will be sorted. First and last sections are colossal. Middle section sounds thin and daft, that fuckin plinky plonk shit and the half hearted vocals from Dave. They won't fuck it up though. Can't fuck it up. There can only be one Jabba. They'll add to it, will sound colossal. Mega wankin anthem. Simmer Limber Over is an amazing album title by the way. Should be called that whatever its actually called.

kinda seems like what I am hearing on the boot totally contradicts that /mu/ post in every imaginable way, so I'll eat my hat if its real. Still its actually really impressive how plausible that all sounds, its definitely a lot of fun to speculate like that and the anonymity can let you suspend your disbelief. not that I have visited /mu/ in a long, long time due to the shit /pol/ leakage. Wonder if its any better these days. Really has been host to some fantastic indepth AC discussion over the years despite the obvious downsides to that platform.

for whatever reason, I didn't imagine that their albums got their names that early in the process.. i'd think that something would get agreed upon in the studio, idk

the middle part of defeat is actually my favorite - basically a crib of incredible string band and it's sweet and charming and completely fucking wild

vastly prefer the new defeat, all sections. Went back and listened to the old one to make sure. Panda's vocals alone elevate it considerably but the updated middle section also slays.

To everyone who is yelling about people not using spoilers, you do realize you are in a show specific thread right? Keeping spoilers out of general AC discussion is one thing but to expect people who went to the specific show and/or want to discuss it to use the tag is just ridiculous. Don’t click on the thread if you don’t want to hear about the show.
Anyways, set list sounds great and I can’t wait to listen to the recording!

I agree. Spoilers should be allowed in this thread because it's kind of annoying clicking for every response (I wasn't at the show but I'm loving what I'm hearing!)

indeed people might just want to get the boot and not be exposed to setlists and other people's thoughts on the songs before they get to hear it for themselves. Especially on that first page the setlists should all be spoiler'd

Got damn what a show! Deak shredding keys was awesome, and hearing grass and banshee beat played faithful to the og versions was something I never thought I'd get to see. Excited to see if what if anything is different at the santa fe show tonight. I was gonna up my boot but this current one sounds good/basically the same as mine, and some dude decided to talk to me throughout almost all of defeat lol. He kept telling me to make sure to post the boot to reddit so his fiance could listen(she couldn't make it). Then he asked for my phone number and last name.

Wow this is by far the most interesting thing since CHz; they are playing instruments!!!! There is a such a quiet spacious vibe going on, like a new phase of AC EXCEPT Panda's songs, which do not fit in with deak and davey's material at all. goddamnit. they got to cut those things--he's still writing for Painting With for chrissakes.
I think Cherokee is fantastic. Maybe I won't be disappointed at a show for the first time in a decade.

Native Belle has been at the top of my wishlist for a while, and it fucking delivered.
Also, they played Prester John...sort of? It seemed like a new Panda song transitioned into it or something, and it sounded different than the Music Box version.

Noooo music box performance was perfect. The one track I truly don't want them to change. Glad it's still in circulation though
