Oh, not sure how I missed this. Mix Ticks is what Panda had to release instead of a long sound-collagey thing in the vein of what he did for his wife's fashion video. Pete confirmed it years ago if I'm reading this correctly.

Hey Pete, what mix are you referring to here? We heard that Noah prepared a mix of short songs similar to Desperzonalidazcao that was supposed to be used instead of Mix Ticks back in September. Is that the one you mean?

He does it in collaboration with the artist , the artist pays to own it usually . There is a 12 x 12 inch foil art-piece in the ATB= , plus s poster in Some copies . as there was an art-print in PBvsGR .
I have spare PBvsGR prints if you’d like one ? xp
ahh i would love! I sent you a PM ))

you should track down an LP asap. everything flows so well on that record AND the packaging is amazing. awesome lil interactive colorwheel that you can give a spin and get psyched out while listening to that record. i also just love when people go the extra mile w packaging.

I declare faces in the crowd to be the best song of this era.
selfish gene might evoke deeper emotions or peak higher in its finest performances, but faces best represents PBVSGR as a whole - it's got noise, sparkle, beastly percussion, beautiful simple lyrics, and most importantly a killer fucking melody

Faces is a 10/10 no doubt. I would put No Man's Land up there too
I was going through a folder of drumbreaks and this one made me do the nasty face. Then I was like this sounds familiar haha. I'm not gonna say it since it's not documented on that site but this is my favorite jam of that era. At the time it was Boys Latin and Cosplay
that ATP recording is an all timer. super grateful that it was released to the fans

I'm piling on the love for Faces. Absolutely incredible instrumentation and PB's vocals are massive. IMO, it's a top tier PB tune regardless of album or era. The entire song feels to me like continually cresting over the first big hill of a roller coaster. Some of his best lyrics too. I remember reading an interview after Reaper had been out for several months and he said that he kind of wished he had swapped out Principe for Faces on the LP. Can't say I disagree.

Yes!!!
in retrospect I think it's clear enough that sequencing the greaper tracks was kind of an impossible puzzle... too much meat for the sandwich or something
Love no man's land too rohcti, would've been a great opener. But sequential circuits feels like it HAS to be the opener too, right?

Fuck yes that's sick. The break is used on libon zoo (gyeah), I can hear the jabbawocky synth pulses fading in too

Agreed with this. NML sounds like the beginning of something. Maybe it could be placed after the dirge-like tracks of Tropic and Wanderer, idk. I think I would like the album a lot more if Faces and NML replaced Principe and Selfish Gene, the studio versions of those two don't really do anything for me... Principe should have just been a beefed up Chz radio instrumental version imo...

yea i never understood why it was split from jabberwocky, i honestly like it more. will check out the studio version later tonight probably.
I've been doing a PBVSGR marathon these past couple days, did the atp rehearsal and boot, fillmore boot, mr noah ep, Greaper, and boiler room thus far. was planning on finishing with the morning becomes eclectic session, crosswords, and swallow. anything else from this era im forgetting about?
consuming it all in quick succession has been a lot of fun, this whole era feels very special. My favorite thing from this era is no surprise the ATP rehearsal but i really like PBVSGR as an album for what it is. the pacing is airtight, feels like one of those "monumental journey" albums. songs like tropic of cancer and principe real shouldn't work on an album together but they totally do.
