I mean I heard them in there but never really focused on them to the point that I really noticed all the little details of it. That's what's great about this album you can kind of just close your eyes, block out the rest of the world and explore.

I like doing imaginary mixes for myself, and the other day I made one that I thought others would appreciate if shared. I call it "Merriweather Pre Pavilion". It's composed of live bootlegs of MPP songs put in the same order as the album. It has probably been done before, but I made nifty album art for it so you should check it out. Plus, why not celebrate the anniversary of its freebird this Christmas with a new way to listen to what could have been?

I tried to weigh sound quality and merit of performances equally when selecting songs, as well as pick from songs with original lyrics (unfortunately, both old versions of "In The Flowers" and "Summertime Clothes" don't have boots that are up to my standards to use). Some transitions are better than others and I combined intros/outros with different bootlegs. I wanted very much to include "From A Beach", as well as reworked older songs, but I felt the album is too sacred to tamper with.

Anyway, enjoy! If people dig this I can post my FBK mix entitled, "Fall Was Kind". ;)

Yeah I find new stuff in it all the time listening. Its not like you'll hear every little detail the first listen.

Exactly. And surprisingly, most people I talk to only give most music a single listen before they judge. Music needs at least several listens to get a decent grasp of what is going on and what is trying to be conveyed.

It really steams me up when RYM dumbos criticize this album as AC's worst because of it's broad appeal.

Okay those are my thoughts goodbye.

hey guys I went ahead and made an alternate mix of merriweather pp that smashes up animal collective with the power pop guitar stylings of weezer. I call it merriweezer pinkerton pavilion. still working on the music itself but here's the artwork to hold you over in the meantime. i'm really enjoying the opportunity to take a swipe at a "what if" in AC's history. maybe we can make this an ongoing thing? this is gonna be pretty killer

let me know if you have any special requests and i'll try to work them in there. NAMASTE!
