idk totally seems like a real album he'd release. the titles r evocative to me in a very avey-ish way. if this was fake this dude would be fully psychotic but still kind of impressive.

I yelled out "Is there another version of Selection of a Place?!" at a recent show and Avey responded with "Who was at our Tea Room show back in 2003?" I wonder if any of this material has anything to do with it, considering it has Selection of a Place. Maybe some reworked material that never saw the light of day back then?

Btw tsurimin I can see what you mean, it wouldn't be that hard to custom order a puzzle, but the other small details convince me it's real. Like the fact that Selection of a Place is included, and that specific list of personnel, it just feels legit to me. What's weird tho is that I def think this is real when I think about it logically, but I'm also I'm still not totally convinced somehow? Someone pls ask Avey abt this after a show so I can have peace of mind that it's real

the whole package just seems pointless to me. i could be wrong but to me this doesnt seem like the way domino would announce an album, given that it was intentionally sent to this guy. my friend pointed out that it looks like a repurposed puzzle box

I think musicians and labels are always looking for new or unconventional ways to announce albums. The whole surprise release method is kinda played out at this point so they gotta find another way to get people's attention. A puzzle is kinda wacky/random but so is using an airport PA like dud said. I don't think it's totally farfetched that Domino would do this, it's just a viral marketing thing
