only thing i'm kinda disappointed about is that they shoulda just squeezed mountain game on the ep. woulda gone nicely with this song.

"Life is so french toast to me" is such a perfectly silly and classic sounding Avey line and it puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.

No shut up you're wrong again. Kinda Bonkers feels as loose and carefree as Mountain Game, they could fit comfortably on the same EP regardless of chronology

Kinda Bonkers warms my heart up. Been feeling really closed off lately since getting back into the country after 6 months abroad, but everything from the nininini to the percussion to the chorus.

There's a concept in nichiren buddhism called "itai doshin" or "many in body, one in mind", about valuing individual differences while creating unity based on our shared humanity—that's what I think of when I hear "feel your heart shine, unity of all kind.". I fucking love AnCo in this era of darkness, they're really trying to be a source of light.

those doubled up and slightly out of time vocals in certain parts are so cool. love that. i also really dig his delivery, sounds quite intimate and rough to me.

Why does anyone bother saying this?
Because it excites me to hear them release a song thats better than their most recent album, which was a really disappointing album to me

Hey, someone who agrees with me, finally! I think there are several highlights from the album but most of it is just boring. But what I don't agree with you on is Kinda Bonkers being a good song. I need time for it to grow on me, probably.

I liked painting with, and when I saw them live it was transcendental, but the album is probably my least fave AC release (I thought it was just okay.) I really dig Kinda Bonkers (more than most Painting With tracks) and so I have high hopes for the ep.

Nothing brilliant but "Kinda Bonkers" is miles more inspired and lushy produced than practically anything on PW.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this EP.

nothing wrong with PW, sure it is not their best work but it has some great stuff on it, Golden gal and on delay, Bagels etc. Also what I love about this group is how they change and reinvent themselves. PW is fun and full of energy, only real problems is that a few of the songs are too short but hey the hipsters who read pitchfork love to slate it
