yeah, listen close after the wipeout sample and you can hear him doing his arpeggio thing, tho it seems like he's in a lot of spots on here but it kinda blends in with the synth.
word and everytime avey's saying "flori flori flori flori floridada" you can hear the sax arpeggio i think

at first i thought ppl meant it was a sample from the futuristic racer video game franchise Wipeout
this song and pb's this side of paradise are totally zeroing in on some mario kart 64 nostalgia for me somehow or 64 in general maybe not sure

I woke up this morning and still had this thing in my head even after 8 hours sleep. This is a bloody excellent song, AC are the masters of melodies.

people that keep saying they don't like the 'floridada' part i feel are the same people who said they didn't like the 'come on l-l-l-l-let go' part in todays supernatural but i feel it's the nice instinctual aspect of animal collective we see in songs like fireworks that definitely makes it for most people or something

false. at least in my case.
the 'l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-let go' was probably my least favorite part of ch z but i really like the 'floridada' part.

This song grew on me. With some great headphones on and volume blasted, all Geo's sweet little details surfaced. Ahhh. I love it. Kooky little whizzes and whurs. I didn't like the chorus at all originally. Sounded half assed and uninspired. Now it sounds like a half demented and ahh not sure how to describe but it just fits the song. It stands out against the sugary sunshine verses to remind you that this aint a VAmp WEEKn song its a goddamn AC trip

I'm also reminded of how "cringe-worthy" peacebone was when it first came out compared to their previous material. Now it's a classic!

yah I was remembering how I felt about revgreen at first and now it's fine. i kept waiting for that to happen with chz and it never did though~
the refrain is a bit much maybe but doesn't ruin the song at all. it has a good character

this has pretty much always happened to me with Animal Collective !!
the first time i heard AnCo i was like "what the fuck is this" but eventually it grew on me, when chz came out it was the same thing, so I was really really surprised when i heard Floridada and was instantly enamored

Just realized this is the first single I've experienced being dropped from AC (didn't start listening until post chz). I experienced slasher flix and greaper but no AC material and I think that's what makes this song just a million times better. The hype and anticipation just makes me giddy.

the building up to the live stream/first listen of centipede hz was more exciting personally
but that was because it was a full album
the freebird/stream for the album itself will prob blow my top off

Well that has to be the most annoying song I've heard all year. Way to let me down again, boys. I don't even know why I even give their new shit a listen these days. Noah needs to ditch those jokers and do only solo work.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what *it* was. Now what I'm with isn't *it*, and what's *it* seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you.

This is the most danceable track AC has ever done, no?
I can only think of a few that are comparable but they still aren't this bouncey. I love it! It really puts a huge smile on my face.

hehe, me and my girlfriend danced around to this in our apartment earlier today. I'm glad that there's now some animal collective that she likes.
and I really love this song btw.

i feeeeel u
chorus is str8 outta kidz bop
other than that this is interesting I guess but I just don't feeeeeel it
Instead of the last floridada in the chorus I keep expecting to hear miya haha from that numa numa song. I don't like it. I enjoy the bridge a lot tho. And avey and panda's recent stuff has been really good too so maybe I was expecting more idk

I'm still not a big fan of the "floridada" part but I loved "l-l-l-l-let go", the vocal pitchshifting is really dope, especially when they did it live. does anyone else get major Electric Light Orchestra vibes on the bridge of Floridada?

I enjoy the track, the vocals are on point. This is sort of the direction I was hoping the album's sound wouldn't be, though. From Young Prayer on (see: 2002 Japan performance), it seems like Noah's solo output has had strong, direct effects on how the following AC albums are put together sonically (Sung Tongs, MPP, and Tomboy's live instrumentation > CHz). I was hoping for live acoustic instrumentation this time round, but Floridada feels very PBVSGR-esque
But, I know nothing. The album isn't even released yet! Whole thing could be way different from this one song. Still payched
