Score. Nice to know the website confirms Deakin is a part of this next era.
Deakin Confirmed To Be a Member of Animal Collective, more at 6
seriously though it would be pretty crappy of them to have a "real website" for the first time ever and not include Deakin just because he didn't record with them(?) on their album that hasn't even been officially announced yet. So I don't think it confirms anything about the next album.
If your right I owe you a Coke. Looks like it could be their promotional picture for a tour/press packet

I'm pretty sure someone talked to Panda and he said Deaks isn't on the new AC studio album. Like Hash said they just put him on the website because he's a part of the band, even if he isn't on the new record

At least three people commenting on the Pitchfork facebook post about how they think AC are a bad live band
how could someone have an opinion like that

"Is everybody cool to go, 'out there?' You want to just go out there?"
Fuck I remember when Avey asked that. New Town all the way through WWIW?S was some serious, deep psychedelia

I just hope this news of a live LP doesn't mean we'll be waiting even longer for an announcement regarding the next studio album, would be cool if the website was updated semi-regularly with news and posts.

Hey guys so you think the 2000 copies will sell out anytime soon? I don't know how quickly these things sell and I'm a little strapped for cash

2000 is a pretty large amount for a limited run. I believe prospect hummer was only 2000 and I still see that around in stores.

I feel like a repressing of an 4-track EP that'd already been around and accessible for 10 years would naturally have a bit less "hype" than CRACK BOX 2, especially with the new album cycle picking up lots of steam online
That being said, doesn't mean it'll sell out today or even this month, I think the original Crack Box was still being sold on Catsup Plate for a couple years after and that's a relatively coveted release nowadays

This is such great news, I had a feeling that that AC account pointed out the other day was real. Don't know if I can really spare the cash for the live lp rn but the new website def makes me think that even more exciting news isn't too far off in the distance. Such a great time to be an AC fan!

Pulleys live is sick. I was fairly drunk but I'm sure they threw in some scheherazade in there too, maybe

Interesting. Early Scheherezade had the king tubby sample that opens Mercury Man

unboxing gif
looks like they all come with a foldout 18”x23” poster and the first 100 get a not-folded 19”x25” poster? So the ltd poster isn't much bigger. Or maybe it's a different poster?

it says its an original poster, so probably from the original print of them in 2013. also they're screenprinted

So there's a link to Deak's facebook page on the new site, and it looks like they just created a twitter account for him as well
https://twitter.com/deakin_official (Panda's official account RT'd it)
This could just be some social media updates to go along w the website updates, but... maybe a Deakin album update is coming soonish?

Awesome news. I ordered mine, and that gets to be pretty expensive here in canada, with shipping and conversion rates. But it's worth it. Can't wait to hear the whole thing. I saw the Toronto show from that tour, which was cool except that Avey didn't sing anything due to strep throat. This live album is sort of the show I missed. Also, totally awesome that the band called this thread New Website, when it is more about the live album. Maybe a nice way of keeping it under wraps for the first little while. In any case, I'm very excited about this and whatever new studio album is on the horizon. This is a good year for AC fans.

Was a little unsure about whether or not to buy this (considering the countless CHZ-era boots out there) but that DYSTW sample sold me on it.
Great idea + website, AC! Here's hoping for more high-quality live recordings in the future, preferably Glasslands '08 or Avey Tare '11.
EDIT: Aw man, Canadian shipping is $62?

Delivery alone is $22. It's time for a US-Canada merger.

It's more because it's relevant music news and they got a press release for it rather than just trying to get clicks but ok

yeah, the original poster was similar to the one pictured, but the colors were inverted, and it was black and white only, screenprinted on thick paper. i have the original one at home. it's very cool. the new one looks super cool in white, though..

Yep, mine is hanging in my room. Quick shot:
