Who knows. He once talked about releasing three albums in a year and noah talked him down to two supposedly. But the only thing we've seen is enter the slasher house.

agree about avey's screams. they're especially good on this... in the beginning "always winter (YES YES YES) right before it transitions into that crazy shuffle....

love the structure and size of this thing. makes me think of some like orchestral work almost, and avey's doing this weird programmatic chanting thing. and there are like 3 or 4 movements maybe....

this makes me think of slasher flicks if it was just avey and no angel or jeremy + call home/ttg + parts that feel like references almost to all sorts of early AC shit

the last vocal part that he sings over bobby's loop is very reminiscent of Death Raga from DT tours. these songs feel like an ac mixtape, it'd be so sick if they start doing this regularly

It's "real" as in Avey really recorded it. The guys have thrown it into some DJ sets but that's it as far as I know. Not an official release or anything

This is amazing. I still say an Animal Collective/The Knife split or collaboration needs to happen. This song definitely reminds me of The Knife in a way. I was really hoping Slasher Flicks was originally going to be Avey Tare with The Knife. Would have been a funny play on words.

Yeah Geo really brought the hip-hop vibes with those drums near the end. Fucking awesome. I was listening to this with my gf last weekend, and neither of us spoke until both tracks finished. The first thing she said after we listened was that she had just "connected her whole life in her head," haha. Very cool AC. Love u animals.
