Here's an updated link. I recaptured the broadcast in much better quality.

The show was broadcast in mono so I've included the original mono show (split and unspilt) as well as a stereo remaster/remix that I think sounds like absolute gangbusters.

:metal

That stereo remix sounds fantastic, I really appreciate the effort and skill here.

That means a lot coming from you. Thanks!!!!

Finally got in a good listen to this, the new mix sounds great thanks again! Gotta say this is the most jammy I’ve ever heard them sound…however, it’s pretty damn good.

something about the synth intro to gem and i and the "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" drones that come in

Has anyone been able to parse out the lyrics in Gem&I? For some reason I'm very curious about this songs meaning in particular

Maybe cuz Avey's going "Me and Them/Gem" and I'm like "who?"

I do think it's about political discourse in the modern age though.

Seeing the sun/son, changing the name, staying the same - trans topics

Big with a solid crowd, but he did it//Quick with the compliment, nothing in it - untrustworthy people/politicians

There used to be a lyric about a gun - second amendment

I'm breaking the game, back of the net, let's do it again - getting through to someone (i have no idea if those lyrics are right)

Crack beer, golden days - reactionary uncle, self explanatory

Dipped into the overdraft, now it's calling - no idea how this relates to anything I'm talking about

I also think I hear "and now we're balding", so maybe this is Panda Bear's Deacon Blues

Idk if it'd political but I love the quick with a compliment line. Seems like Noah has an extremely fine tuned asshole-radar.

I really think Noah has become a master lyricist - you can insert your own life and experience into any of his songs and get a lot out of it. He writes in ruminations that seem both very specific and quite abstract, all the while remaining deeply relatable, at least for me.

I worry sometimes I've developed a parasocial type thing with PB, but I think really I'm just in love with his art and I've never seen anything like it anywhere else

Round 2 tomorrow! I’m excited to see what they have in store. Still hoping for a studio rehearsal of Defeat. Hopefully hunks will be able to capture it again after the super legit job he did with last weeks. Thanks again I’ve been playing it all week long. :guitar:

Today seems like a good time to share at least one old jam they practiced but didn’t end up playing to crowds in September - Maybe BTQ or Rain in Cups

Blast is dogshit so I'll wait to see whether a rip is possible this week. No expectations or pressure implied there. Cherokee rehearsal sounds like a nice thing.
