That is my favorite song of "Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper" already, it is since the first time I heard it on the bootlegs, it gets me this Arthur Russell type of vibe, but it's unique in its own way, it's beautiful! it's full of noise but at the same time it's so mellow, love it. Best Track of 2014 write it down (if it gets release this year of course =P)
for some reason i can't get into this song, i dunno why but it just does nothing for me. i'd go as far as to say it's my least favorite out of all the new tracks lol, funny how opinions can differ so much...
fill those spaces on the other hand…
also i'm glad he might whip out a few tomboy tracks for the tour, wonder what he's gonna play…i guess most likely what he played at that french festival tho i'd rather hear others instead
I'm basically on the complete opposite on this one. I feel that the vacuum song is one of the most atmospheric jams that Panda has ever put down. It has this bittersweet melancholia that is pretty intoxicating to listen to. As for fill those spaces, to me it sounds like Disney music, and I don't mean that as a compliment. Both tracks are pretty repetitive, but the vacuum song ends up putting me into a trance, while fill those spaces just makes me want to go watch a Walt Disney movie instead.
To each their own
i'm generally into really atmospheric tunes but i don't find the vacuum song particularly interesting for whatever reason, guess i'm not susceptible to its hypnosis

. maybe that'll change for me when it hits the album in better quality tho. fill those spaces is pretty straightforward and repetitive but the vocal melody coupled with the main chords sounds so rich and beautiful to me. it sounds so sincere and it makes me really emotional evertim

Did he play the songs we're referring to as Triple Eye, Mention and Shut Up as well btw?

He was controlling most of these samples through the Studiomaster and I didn’t see a Boss sampler anywhere (it’s possible I missed it). I didn’t take a picture because I was trying to respect his space, but I’m scouring the web for some of the gear I saw.
more info on the gear would be great!

The ones below I know he played..but there were a few new ones too:
Do It
Dark Cloud
Can't Go Back
Principe Real
Fill Those Spaces (Take Care)
End (with altered vocal samples and long THX-style drone)
I think he played that "Not Too Bad" song from the Barcelona boot as well? Can't be too sure.

Perez told me that he and Noah were really excited about using a lot of choreography and people in the new visuals. I asked him if he had any hand in slasher flicks visuals the night before and he hadn't. He was really stoked (as was I) to score one of the posters somebody posted above, which are still available on the festival website, and informed me that there wasn't any merch at the show, but that there might be later this month.
whoaa thanks for the heads up about that poster. just ordered one. there are only a hundred made so get em you guys!

i was also at APF and got to catch the gang. To reiterate what everyone was saying both avey and panda exceeded expectations. Angel sang a lot more than I expected and it was great; her vocal loops really made the transitions. I've only listened to the ATP bootlegs in regards to panda's new material, and they've come a long way since.it was a really really beautiful set. new album should be a real winner

Is there a Panda Bear bootleg for this set? If so could someone send it to me? I'd love to listen.

Once the vacuum song comes out in pristine studio quality you won't be able to help but feel like this

Hey guys, so I got a recording of Slasher Flicks from the psych fest, and just got around to EQing it. It's still not awesome, but it's not the worst either. Worst part is that the opener (Catchy), was unsalvageable due to the fact that my girlfriend wanted to start out up front, right by the speaker. It was a short set anyway, so the recording is only 6 songs (babe, sender, card, fang, outlaw, colores).
I've got no experience with any of those mediafire type sites, but if somebody wanted to PM me, I could dropbox it to them, and then maybe they could make it more widely available?

yeah, my panda boot is shite. sorry. I'll blame that on my gf as well for making us stand so close, but I doubt my recorder could've handled that bass from anywhere

haha i remember they stopped the background music and noah got up there and then everyone cheered and then went silent and waited - and Noah was getting ready and there was like a 30 second gap of making sure everything was working and one dude yelled from the back - "fucking play a song!!" and i just thought that was really funny in that moment

I don't think a boot would do the psych fest set justice half of what made it so awesome was the sound system it seemed to really push his music into a more physical and mental vibe...you had to be there:)
