I wonder what price point Josh is factoring into this, if it's everyone who donated $20+ (starting with the signed photograph bracket) then there's only 161 backers to take into account. Hopefully the small scale of this thing will mean that it won't take as long to print and mail out the posters + other things once he gets to them

Here's the kickstarter page if you want to see a detailed outline of the things that were promised: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/leg ... val-in-the

You can't donate because the kickstarter campaign ended in December 2009. But I think there was a website where you could order a cd or something...but even that might be gone now. I think that popped up around 2 years ago.

The comments are very rude on that kick starter, can't believe people said that stuff. I understand you put money down, but things take time to happen. Especially when it's one guy doing it all.

According to the last message Josh will be "dropping stuff in the mail as early as [this] week". I wonder if we'll hear from him before then (presumably to verify postal addresses) or if people will just start randomly receiving Deak goods.

I hope he's going to confirm addresses because I've changed mine three times since then.

Yeah, if it is really happening soon it'd be cool to have the poster shipped to Saida's apartment so I can receive it in the states instead of having it sit at home for 5 weeks.

I e-mailed them two years ago and asked about all that jazz, and they told me a $50 donation to the fundraiser (I can't find it now, so who knows if the site is still up) would still get the CD. I never got a confirmation e-mail or anything, so by all means donate if you're a super-charitable person, but if you're just looking for the CD, wait till it comes out and someone on here uploads it.

Curious to see what this poster looks like, seems like a lot of thought and work has gone into it.

anyone else on here really dig deakin's music? like on a person pitch/feels/mpp level? i feel like there hasn't be too much discussion on here and i am beyond psyched to hear his debut (or anything from him, really). the wait has been excruciating. I have a mix where i combined the paris boot, the music hall of williamsburg boot, the isolated TTG tracks, and country house, and i must have listened to that seriously hundreds of times, those 2 boots specifically have been on regular rotation since 2010. footy from the paris boot and island chase from the williamsburg boot are breathtaking, i love his voice and how atmospheric and sparse his songs are. anyone else feel the same?

I spin the recording with nimai larson all the time. i feel like a lot of the songs are pretty messily assembled because each version is pretty different, and that kinda detracts from my listening experience, but Two Friends and and Good House are legendary,
i also love the solo version of wide eyed from the SPR bootleg.

^ You mean the Glasslands show clams? I think that one is a classic, it's one of the most patient live performances I've ever heard. When I'm in the mood for it, nothing else really comes close.

yeah give it a shot clayton!
interesting. i only really listen to those 2 bootlegs that i mentioned, which are pretty drastically different. between those two shows he definitely changed some of those songs a lot (i hate all the unnessesary effects he added to footy, it used to be so simple and beautiful
) but i haven't listened to many of the other boots so i never noticed that they differ from show to show. messy or not, i love how they turned out.
yeah i love that solo wide eyed, i didn't hear that till post-chz which was crazy. and omg good house is otherworldly (both ttg and on the boots)

how sick would it be if he just mails the album to everyone when he completes it without any heads up? we're all like 'man, we haven't heard from deak in so long, what's the deal' and BAM all of a sudden it's in your mailbox !!

Since Josh announced the Mali thing, I have got engaged, got a house, learned to drive, got a job and been promoted twice, built my own amp, ridden a bike across the whole of France and the UK, got done for speeding twice and beaten one court case on that matter, rescued two cats, wood stained most of my house and grouted the tiles of my kitchen floor, rebuilt, plastered and painted the out house, planned two charity expeditions to Africa, organised two school exchanges, three foreign school trips and completed a cultural project on Pompeii and Herculaneum, as well as prepared for my Mandarin exams. I've also found time to play over a hundred and fifty hours of Skyrim and another two hundred and fifty on the likes of The Last Of Us, Demon's Souls, Far Cry 3, SSF4:AE, Tomb Raider and the Uncharted and Bioshock trilogies. I have learned to DJ again and played paid gigs and I have planned a wedding for next summer. This does not even include the vast number of wanks I've had.
