is that PB remix of Eric Copeland pitch shifted? it must be ! I cannot hear his regular falsetto voice in that at all. Either way, i love it. Been gone for a month or so. glad to be back, y'all ! what'd i miss?
I believe its from transposing the vocal formants
...Shifting from male to female charechteristics .
It's done in a similar way to autotune - thru analysis , editing and resynthesis -
Tho this is obviously more artful that the instant vocaloid fx
.......He told me he spent a lot of time tweaking it to get it convincing...
I think its the bomb .......Il Diva....ha

Definitely getting Atiba song vibes with this. It's like I know the melody doesn't really change that much but I just get lost in it and it doesn't feel repetitive at all. PB writes such good melodies it's really unreal.

The music just strikes better. I think it's just the way this album is, it's definitely a grower. It needs to marinate to allow all the little subtleties to come out. So yeah I love this album.

Yes!!
in even a few more months, a year from now, several years, somehow this period of Panda and Pete's music (including the new EP) is going to keep growing in how it interacts with everyone who experiences it! Hmm... Animal collective's creations overall have that sense that people will enjoy them all the way to the oldest they become, and i think they realized it maybe around the time of feels!

I LOVE PETE ROCK
Could not be happier about this collaboration. Really enjoyable, if not too radical (which I'm ok with, since Crosswords's melody is one of my favorites). Also excited for the whole EP.
Thanks Noah, PeteK, PeteR, and Domino!

Wow Pete Rock... That's so cool.
I didn't like it at first, but I like the recessed vocals and sweet beat. Lots of PB material this year
Oh yeah thanks for sticking around PK

listening to that andy stott remix again, and man it's good. i love that you can hear panda bear's percussion, but it's buried under layers of dark noise and texture. the infrequent emergence of noah's vocals is cool, too

Just wanna say how amazingly executed this era has been! I feel like I've been locked inside the Goldi Loxxx Zone since 2013 and it keeps expanding! This record is ruling my life!!

Pete Rock remix is what we all thought GR would sound like circa 2013 LOL
all these remixes are great, but Danny L Harle's trumps the rest by far

so is dj marfox's remix, some seriously hot soca beats going through that one. not usually big on remix ep's but this one is exceptionally good
but damn container is out of this world, so underrated

). This version of Crosswords keeps growing on me.

I'll have to listen again, but my first impression was that everything was fine except the annoying vocal shift, which ruined for me.

Remix EP is the bomb!
Standout remixes are Andy Stott's, Pete Rock's & Container's. Come to Your Senses' remixes are the bangers, though!
Pete Rock's remix sounds like the 1 jam I would drop at a pool party.
Also, Panda's version of Cheap Treat is super sweet, I bet Julian Casablancas would dig this tune and it could/should be a 40 top radio hit
