This is one of those songs you can put on repeat and it never gets old :)

Vocals kind of remind me of Julian Casablancas

Totally second that emotion, Pete! You share so much, so personally, it like what the Internet was made for! People!

I love the wisdom too.... GR is an existential trip, through & beyond certainty, feel like Jabberwockys the absurdist response, a surrealist letting go

(new remix bangs too, feel that 90's vibe hard, CTYS pt2 kinda)

Thats kind ......thank you ...

I think the internet is one of the millions of by-products of man's war-mongering side , no ? ?
It always amuses me when weir using vocoders or old pre-amps for making this sorta stuff that we have suitably reclaimed them for the benign purposes of communication , sharing emotions & feeling ...

Heres a killer book about the vocoder's military usage and its interlink with pop culture . A very entertaining and un-technical read :

Hope its goodtimes all points. xpetek

is that PB remix of Eric Copeland pitch shifted? it must be ! I cannot hear his regular falsetto voice in that at all. Either way, i love it. Been gone for a month or so. glad to be back, y'all ! what'd i miss?

Is it possible the vocal melody on the Remix comes from a discarded PBVSGR idea? I'm feelin the vibes and they feel very close to each other

if you listen to the original eric copeland song alot of the elements he used are already there its just mixed in a more buried manner

So a few people itt have been saying that they like this record less since it came out, just wanna say I'm the total opposite. Shit is like ear candy now. During the rollout I was anticipating the album soooo much, and I fell in love with the EP immediately. This was my first animal collective rollout experience and it was such a cool one. All of the things that came out prior to the album were so cool. Really, still props to sonic and Noah for that. Easily my favorite rollout of all time. Any way, the album came out and I digged it for a couple weeks, loved it. Then I kind of got bored with it and put it away. The hype of it and the story of the reaper wore off and I didn't find it as satisfying. Anyway, in the last week I have been so back into it. Like I rediscovered it, the melodies sound so much better now. The music just strikes better. I think it's just the way this album is, it's definitely a grower. It needs to marinate to allow all the little subtleties to come out. So yeah I love this album.
