Just took a virgin atlantic flight across the pond to visit london, the maiden voyage of said plane. I was pleasantly surprised to see that one of the ten or so albums available on the "music" tab of the little entertainment console was PBVSGR! Go pb

You're probably thinking of me, and I didn't hate the album, it just fell far short of my expectations. My expectations were that it would sound at least better than it did live, because many live versions of these songs were really great (I saw him in Toronto and loved it, one of my favourite shows ever) and then the album freebirded and nothing I liked from the show survived, and everything sounded worse to me (and I'm not complaining that he simply changed the songs, I'm complaining that he changed the songs for the worse). It's totally subjective but I'm still standing firmly with Person Pitch for the best PB album. This disappointed me. Great ideas executed in a way that failed to catch my interest.

He was a dude who posted around the MPP era. Audio engineer. Generally regarded as a dick, though admirable in some ways.

i think sonic boom said that a lot of the transitions evolved while he was touring and so came after the album was already recorded. so a lot of the things you might have liked may have just been flourishes from performing the songs over and over again

"Boys Latin will be released as the second single from Panda Bear’s critically acclaimed recent album, Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper, on 23rd March 2015."
http://www.dominorecordco.com/uk/news/2 ... 3rd-march/
That's the only thing I've heard about it.

Yes to both questions:

Also, thanks for the update! Hopefully this means that we'll hear studio versions of "Jabberwocky" and "Popadam".

New Kendrick is Kendrick Lamar's new album To Pimp a Butterfly. Do you listen to a lot of hip-hop, Pete?

! okey dokey !
remember , i'm just a visitor on this planet ....forever alien ....
..... i dont listen to a
lot of rap or hip hop ,
but mostly thru I dont like braggy stuff & fighty stuff....not that thats everything for sure i kno
I dug some trip-hop stuff in the '90's -Massive attack , Portishead , Dela Soul .
I dig some GFKilla- 12 'reasons to Die ' w Adrian Younge I really like from a couple of years back ......
I like Flying Lotus' vibe a lot ....been trying to track down the last EP I dont have ...that i listen to a fair amount in the right zon....
Otherwise i'm more old school Grandmaster Flash & The Sugarhill stuff . 'Scorpio' - stuff like that- i guess its hip hop ??
