no I wasn't trying to say you're stuck in the past at all. just that there are particular things going on on this album album, and not liking them means you don't like these particular things and that's it. and that people shouldn't disregard those perspectives as invalid.

But yeah, I saw them, opening night. great show, really enjoyed it. didnt really change the album for me

also you tubed John Cale and Drone and just saw a video of his implementing drones into his lives set but not necessarily drone music ..

feel confused

tbh don't know much about him because have a bad relationship with velvet underground

You should check out the album Paris 1919. No drones to be found there, just really gorgeous folky pop songs. One of my fav albums.

Just wanna say I think this is a great record and I think there will be a large scale critical reappraisal down the line. I have been listening nonstop. I love it.

Ditto. Great release: loads of energy, fun and unexpected shifts and sounds, great lyrics, strong vocals, and trippy.
