Here Comes Sunshine by Grateful Dead. I don't know which show though. Anyway I add this link with all the info you will need finding the right one for your ears.
Magic has zero objective meaning in this context. If the purpose of writing your thoughts on the album is to communicate to other people, it does not accomplish that. But you could write it in your journal and it should work just fine.
this is what i mean. i don't care if people love/like/loathe this album, but if you're going to describe your opinions about it be meaningful. i still disagree that "samey" is a good way of describing anything (maybe you guys mean repetitious), but whatevs

I think "samey" is an awful descriptor too. I could say any album sounds samey

sammy davis jr, more like samey davis jr, am I right?
but yeah I think it's totally fair if the consistency of some of the synth sounds and the similarity of the duplicated vocals on the Panda tracks are a turn off for people. Though I would disagree with the degree to which that stuff sounds consistent, like the way Avey seems to have a slightly different rhythm than Panda on Recycling is wildly different than something like Summing The Wretch where there's short bursts coming from both with Avey's delayed to the point of bumping up against Panda's next one. But they're still closer than any comparison to something from another album. So yeah I'd say it's a fair thing to be turned off by. Magic isn't real though and I really do think people would have a more fun time by abandoning that sort of thinking and really looking at what they liked about the old stuff that isn't on this album, because there are plenty of real differences and totally legitimate things to have an affinity for that are not present here.

"magic" is the product of discovering and listening to something all those years ago whenvr ppl first heard feels and sj and mpp and spirit and the bond you form with that music over a really long time... of course new music should feel different, you and the band are both entirely different ppl than the ones who listened to/made those records. and dont u think the music should express something of this time, in 2016 as opposed to like 05 or 07 or something? re ppl talking abt the magic i guess. i mean its not a big deal, if u dont like u dont, but with this band i feel like the albums are all very different but of the same amazing quality. haterz r gonna have 2 re-evaluate next month tho when they drop that monster double-single..

So in love with Avey's vocals on Golden Gal right now... Especially the line
"You'd think the Gal should feel so comfortable these days, but sexy genders bring some troubles to the fray"

Magic and a couple other descriptors are just flimsy sorts of analogues for je ne sais quoi. Fine to use while describing something you love but not so much for something you don't.

Yeah i hear that as guitar too, close mic'd to the strings for a percussive sound.... tho it could be a tuba with sticky keys, or the guys have just layered a clicky synth in there

I just assumed that was some kind of modular synth patch. They can kinda sound like anything
You can hear it more clearly as a synth in the outro I think, that scraping sound

didn't Avey say in an interview that there's no guitars on the album?

In Michael, remember you can hear someone speak halfway through and pick up a guitar, tho it sounds heavily effected

Haha but it's cool that it 'sounds' like one, like the sax - those little acoustic elements add a lot

The magic epicenter of this album is The Burglars
When you zone in on Panda's background vocals and hear it evolve

i gotta give huge props to avey for nailing the vocals on summing the wretch.
i tried singing along with his part, but i always drift back to pandas, it's really hard.

Maybe I'm just crazy, but I always thought the middle section of Bagels had a guitar doing the part that alternates with the vocals.

I don't think there's any accordion on this album either. Or flugelhorn, for that matter
