review is up on RA: http://www.residentadvisor.net/review-v ... x?id=16271

it's pretty interesting because it appears this is the first time the publication has deviated from its .5 rating increments. panda bear makes history!

For anyone else in the south, Panda Bear is playing Shaky Knees festival in Atlanta: http://clatl.com/cribnotes/archives/201 ... knees-2015

They've announced the lineup but they haven't specified on which day each artist is playing. But we know for sure that PB is playing on Sunday, May 10, because he's in Nashville on Friday and in Asheville on Saturday.

Weekend passes are $199. Looks like single-day tickets are probably gonna be $99, which sucks, because you know PB is probably only gonna play for 40 minutes or something. I'm probably just gonna go to the Nashville show and the Asheville show.

Yeah just better off to just go to Nashville or Asheville shows, the tickets are a lot cheaper.

See ya at the Asheville show, though, Victor! :c00l:

I'm entertaining the possibility of going to all three: Nashville, Asheville, and the festival in Atlanta

Three days in a row of seeing Panda Bear. I might just die of happiness if I could pull it off

i read something in that incredibly pretentious tiny mix tapes review about how we can hear OG faces and Jabawaqy in mashed up formats somewhere? i read through the thread but i cant' find that anywhere, i love those two i played the hell out of them from the boots ha ha i'd love to hear any inkling of it

The original Faces is in Mix Ticks and Jabawaqy is on pbvsgr.com

ah, i forgot about mix ticks, yeah i remember now. no full jabawaqy yet though, right? just loops

if you were to taste or eat a spice or herb during each song that seemed like it matched the song, which would they be? it is kind of like asking which colors each song creates, but inside out.

i love this question very much

sequential circuits - mint
mr noah - black pepper
crosswords - basil
butcher baker - anise
boys latin - rosemary
come to your senses - vanilla
tropic of cancer - ginger
lonely wanderer - almond
principe - curry
selfish gene - sun-dried tomato
acid wash - bay

!! :o :D i am thankful and excited that you read and understood what i was trying to describe...it is the first album where i have suddenly thought that the music would correspond with, have a space within the music to fill in for flavors.

i really want to try your specific spice and herb sequence! what would even happen tasting these one after the other, with the length of each song to savor them, i feel like a door would appear out of nowhere and open!

i will do a mini one for the remaining three songs from Mr. Noah where i have heard all of them.

faces in the crowd - lemon
untying the knot - ginseng
this side of paradise - sage leaf

right now is my first time listening thru the whole lp in its physical nondigital form and it is soooo000 sweet

p.s. if I go to this asheville show there will be no nonsense. it will be my 5th show this tour and I will sit in the back or lay down somewhere and close my eyes the whole time and will meet noah after the show no questions asked

For anyone waiting on the digital download email, just go back to your original domino email when you first preordered and click the same link you used for Mr. Noah. I was expecting an email, I just did this and it worked.

I live next to train tracks and the rumbling bass at the beginning of Acid Wash is a dead ringer for the sound of a train approaching. I've now been tricked into thinking there's a train coming on several occasions. Damn you Panda and PeteK, I know you conspired to do this
