lol. nah I get you. all the clips of old songs have me hyped, but the new ones we haven't heard yet I can't really get anything out of a 15 second snippet with no context

LETS GO! im so excited! the songs sound so good! they are rocking out on slow motion! tomboy is truly a garage rock record under all that pedals. there is an interesting throughline from tomboy to chz just like person pitch to mpp haha. tomboy is also similar to this group of songs .. drum machine and electric guitar. LOVE IT!

yooooooo
religious bop sounds sick I love how that turned out. little more up-tempo but still has all I love about the madrid version. noah is singing a lower line in the chorus but I think Maria has the high harmony so I'm sure it'll be there on the album.
ends meet has changed more than I realised. still goes hard but it'll take a while to get used to how the chords are landing compared to before.
take pills intro is so nice! I hope there are more slow moments like that in the set

oh man
praise is gonna be one hell of an album opener... the "what else can i doooo" part of ends meet is gonna be stuck in my head for a while too!
was already extremely excited for the album but this just seals the deal

yeah I went too hard on '21 religious bop, but all good no regrets. the fast punkier version sounds really great. it all does
ends meet got me MOVING though holy shit. he perfected that song
they sound so good and punchy, god this era rules
and imho, I don't think defeats gonna be on the album. its probably just a one off 12' thing

This live show has such a “in tribute to the greatness of the guitar” vibe. Panda just shredding. Guitar tone is amazing. Got that old school rock band Kinks vibe for sure. All the old songs guitar-ified are incredible. Amazing how long Panda’s been on this concise punchy thing now. It started with Painting With when he seemed like the catalyst to the Ramones-record thing. Buoys and Reset were really tight and punchy. Homies was the one time since 2015 that he’s kinda stretched out a bit on record. And again this is just sounding like straight rippers.
All the new songs sound awesome.

best part of the show
how they tease the riff to Slow Motion and then dive back into Religious Bop for a bit and then alternate between the two riffs before settling into the Slow Motion song for good

I can't believe how well shepards tone works with this format.
seconding the guitar tone accolades, the telecaster is perfect. and the pitch bending makes it sound like its coming from an old warbly record

I love the transition between Religous Bop and Slow Motion. It's like Slow Motion is trying to emerge from Religous Bop but keeps getting smothered.

i miss the way the ends meet riff originally was but the vocal melody is so good it almost doesnt even matter, still great. as someone who hasn't been following too closely, is there any indication of how closely these new live versions resemble the album versions? i.e. did he record the album with this band or did he put together this band for the tour after recording the album?

Fairly sure I remember Deakin saying that Panda played most of the parts on the record.
