I have faith that this is the real studio version, but I guess won't know 4sure until Sonic returns. In the meantime I am enjoying this so much. That droning at the end seems to fit so perfectly with the whole accepting/growing from death theme of the album. The way it comes in super dissonant and kinda spooky until it eventually evens out into that beautiful chord definitely kinda sounds like some kind of tragic to positive progression.

this sounds a lot like a soundboard recording from the ATP show, could be wrong though. either way damn what a cool song.

Noah & familly are all doing great .
Award statues ?? I'm not sure it'd fit the decor...,
You'd have to ask the Noahtorius one about his song writing......
from what i get to see , he puts a lot of time and art into it ....
tweaking lyrics right up till the mic time comes..... I think he kind of writes the music
first , but the lyrics in parrallell . Which is fairly normal - to be honest ..... Altho thats as close to fairly normal as the process with him gets ha
i never really question it....he writes great stuff and i'm more interested in how
he sees it , the inspiration/vibe and ee talk about stuff about what he wants the
song to do. What impact it should make ...
It was a much more strait forward deal on Tomboy . But I've tried to
encourage him that we can get as dialed in as he wants .
Tomboy was recorded at home and mixed at MGMT 's demo studio
'Blanker unsinn' . The recent stuff has been recorded using Portugal's top

reverbs ? Ha . Youre posts are amusing.... Not under-rated by me ....set the pre delay high
And the decay longer . Nice..... Same with the lights....
.....theres a world of ambience out there ...uber verbs for
a future space......
...As Francis Bacon stated in his 1605 meta sci-fi short story 'the
New Atlantis' - ' We also have Soundhouses'.....
What He didnt know - Was that we would get the keys to it..... Ha
And so....to work

Thank you Sonic!

I love how the board went from "The production is astounding, yes. Big props to sonic of course" to "this sounds a lot like a soundboard recording from the ATP show". Honestly, re listening to it, it sounds a lot like a polished live recording. It probably is, since Panda changed the lyrics already once, why would he change them back?

I'm pretty sure this isn't from the ATP boot, I was listening to it and panda comes in right after the percussive "hey hey hey" kind of sound and on the stream he starts like a measure or beat before it. But it is late at night and I'm pretty tired.

yeah it might be a really good live soundboard recording but i don't think it is from ATP, there are some differences in the vocals

Hearing Marijuana makes me feel the way I felt hoping the follow-up to Person Pitch would sound.

And damn is there a tracklist that we could get for this mix? There's some gems on here.

This is neat but it doesn't sound like much of anything besides a middle-of-the-road loop and aimless vox with a kinda cool ending. i'll take it!

Yeah but it's more of a mood piece, mainly focussing on texture so it's meant to kinda float around and loop rather than having a more standard structure.

Actually the opening vocal parts kinda make it seem like its a live performance, though I can't be sure.

Listen to a soundboard recording of anything AC related, then listen to the album version. There is an absolute difference.

This is a high quality live recording, not from a studio. But it is perfect and is making me even more psyched for the album! :D

Oh yeah it's definitely because I don't listen to bootlegs very often at all. Very hyped for the studio version!

this is so dope - i do think it is a soundboard tho. I really hope the studio production stays true to this for the most part.

not sure if this has already been mentioned, but the snippets of dialogue at the end are from Apocalypse Now. Can be heard at 0:05 in this video:

Also I love how the beginning of that massive synth chord at the end sounds like a train. Panda loves those train samples, doesn't he?

Yeah, I think it was dance avey dance who suggested it was Paul Simon's "Homeless" a while back, and I thought that was it, but this seems closer.
