some of the chord placements are off in relation to the chorus, but I think it should be easy to figure out.

Duplex Trip

Note that this is for the studio version. The live version from the bootleg I have is different in a few places. The time signature is different, the verse goes D C Em D, and the first 2 chords in the prechorus are replaced with Em. Hopefully it's OK to be posting this ahead of the release date,
Spoiler: show
Tune a half-step down. Each chord gets one measure if you count it in 6/8.

Verse (For this to be safe...):
D C Em Em

Pre-chorus (You can untie ties...):
C A
(This is not...)
A B

Chorus (You're stuck with me?...):
D F#m E B
(Will come back...)
E B

Verse
Pre-chorus
Chorus

(I need an easy moment...)
A B

Chorus
If you'd rather not retune or transpose the above but still want to play along, it goes like this:
Spoiler: show
Each chord gets one measure if you count it in 6/8.

Verse (For this to be safe...):
Db Cb* Ebm Ebm

Pre-chorus (You can untie ties...):
Cb* Ab

Ab Bb

Chorus (You're stuck with me?...):
Db Fm Eb Bb
(Will come back...)
Eb Bb

Verse
Pre-chorus
Chorus

Ab Bb

Chorus

*Same chord as B, just spelled in a way that makes more sense in this context.

I apologize for the eyesore of periods in the chords, but this site compresses all instances of multiple spaces into a single space, so I had to replace the spaces with periods.

I will update this post with new songs, so check back if I'm not done them all yet.

Catchy Was Contagious (lyrics courtesy of Diomedes)
Spoiler: show
These chords can be played on a guitar more easily with a capo on the first fret and removing the # on every note, but for now, Im just transcribin w/o a capo.

Modern Days E (lyrics courtesy of Diomedes)
Spoiler: show
The 2nd C# in the chorus is an octave lower than the first (hear in song). The root note of the 2nd C# is also too low to play on a standard guitar (I recommend C#G#C#F#A#D# which is essentially just dropped D but half-step down). Or you can repeat the same notes as the first C#. That also sounds fine. If you are playing in standard tuning, once again, I reccomend a capo on the first fret.

Thanks for posting all of those. If you put the chords & lyrics inside code tags, the spaces will all show up as spaces. Also useful for programmers and poets.

Code: Select all

     C Dmaj7 E7
Like this (and it's a monospaced font,
so you might want to use Courier New
or something in a text editor
to get everything lined up properly)
