I will temper my Alsatian luck by saying that even tho his track record for me on average is like.. im sure i like more than 80% of his recorded tracks and YET... tomboy, shepards tone, defense and sequential are NOT faves of mine, 2 of those i basically dislike, so a 1/3rd of the set were tracks I dont consider myself to be a fan of but it was still sick, and im stoked hes playing such an eclectic show. Alsation, Praise and Ariel were all I needed...

I’m somewhat surprised that Part of the Math hasn’t made an appearance on this tour

Panda rappin across the stage, mic in hand; Tim and Tomé making the venue shake, Maria and Rivka cueing the fx, that could be cool

Seattle show was so good! Absolutely need to hear that version of Alsatian again and again.
Also so happy he played that remix of Greaser! Such a sweet lil tune

my guess is they'll select the best stuff from a few dates. presumably they're recording everything and tour's not over

the panda bear live show for this tour is one of the best shows i've ever been to. "defense" in particular hit a new level -- played a lot of tomboy (5 songs), take pills, song for ariel, it was a magical experience

Also a single on its own with new cover art on Apple Music. Loving that Domino woke up to how dope this song is and how people need to hear it in a more accessible manner

idk but i have to imagine it's intentionally evoking the mass shooting, right? the lyrics are sparse but explicitly about dealing with depression, and the song ends with a noisy feverish instrumental passage. so my best guess is the title reference imbues the song with the vague hint of awful violence to drive home the warped state of mind of deepening depression.

Does this put the kibosh on any hope that we might get an ep follow-up?

I'd also like to know the answer to this question. Because this song rules. Something about it (the repetition, the energy?) that betrays his love of that record by The La's. OK—Remove "Elegy," insert "Defense" and end the record with "VT."

I think it's still possible. I got the impression that whatever leftover tracks they have are unfinished, so a follow up ep would require more time in the studio.

I went the gig in Brighton last night and it was really amazing. An all-timer.
