I'm so addicted to that Heart Attack song. So curious what a studio version will sound like. I hope we get the full on screamo Avey for the studio version.

Yeah I wasn't really sure about this one when he debuted it last year, but for some reason it's clicking a lot harder now. It just feels so dark and anguished. Like a Down There song with distorted electric guitar. The last minute or two is so good.

yeah it's really difficult to watch haha. super random questions at the beginning. the excessive visuals (check around 18min) and sound elements are really distracting and seem rude to the person being interviewed. also it abruptly ends in the middle of deakin talking

sinister grift talk starts around 10:20

This. Sung Tongs shows were insane. Love when panda bear is going at it on guitar. Would be cool to see all 3 on acoustic, plus some modular and hurdy from Geo.

Yeah was thinking of something like this. It's hard to picture an acoustic guitar setup involving more than two of them which is why it intrigues me so

Ha, Jesse Jarnow is great, highly recommend his WFMU show and Yo La Tengo book if you haven't checked it out. I'm not a huge dead guy so I never listened to this before. Also had never actually heard the Avey/Mickey Hart song and it is way better than I expected. Really cool song.

yea I shouldn't hate on the guy, he's a pro. the deadcast is great but can get a little exhausting. some interviews go way long with completely peripheral characters, and because it's produced by the grateful dead they always skate around the negative sides of the story, which is a shame because you actually need that, sometimes just for colour but sometimes because without it the story just doesn't quite add up. overall though I appreciate the podcast very much and it helped get me into the band
