Damn, kinda felt like it was building toward a climax that never quite happened, but still love the melody and production. Maybe like it a bit more than Saturdays. It's seeming like this whole album is probably gonna be more on the low key side.

Taken Boy is incredible.. thought it was hilarious only a few hours before he put it out there we were looking for a new single.
I love the mood going on with this. I knew it right from the start how it'd be this very ghostly, wispy, misty, and galloping vibe Dave wanted to take us a spin on.. here we are.
Can't wait for this LP/10" to come in the mail. I've been spinning my head looking for a good and affordable yet absolutely pristine record player setup only for this record (well, i guess my PP Vinyl Me and ADWTH i just found at a store for $15 would be nice to listen to as well)

These lyrics are incredible. I love the swaying drums in and out.

I'm really hoping Hors_ is more like the Euc tour version just super panned out in length and isn't as "go,go,go" as the Mothlight/CPH:DOX versions with the electronics. The guitar really makes that one phenomenal. Either way I'll love it to death as I do, just wishful thinking until we get black and white.

Can we already just give nods to the bass he's using in these tracks though? holy shit that's some crystal clear stuff

I can never fully judge something off one listen but I'm a lil underwhelmed w the song. Im sure in the context of an album it works, just doesn't seem like single material to me. I'll listen to it some more. Curious how it compares to the boot, is it from the mothlight show? I really dig the production tho and am glad it's in the same production style as Saturdays. Great bass tones on these tracks 4 sure

Never heard this one on a boot or I don't recognise it. It's pretty subtle. Oh shit it's Dream of Choice! Oh yeah. I like it rather than love it immediately but the melody is looping in my head, it's very 60s psych to my ears. Sounds so different without that clackety beat!

On current evidence, Midnight Special will have a 160bpm gabba backing track.

I'll be really interested to hear these upcoming Avey, Deak, and Jeremy shows and how they differ from the recent solo Avey tour. I can't wait to hear how these new songs have evolved when fleshed out in the studio. I wonder if Deakin and Jeremy had involvement in the studio recordings as well.

Anyway, I'll admit, I'm pretty attached to some of the boots and the emotion delivered in them. They seem very intimate and sometimes a bit darker (Aging Heart, Enjoy the Change...the first half of Magicians) than what I'm used to Avey putting out. He was almost in this psych-emo thing for a bit which I dug, but I was really intrigued by the direction of these more mysterious and dark tunes.

After hearing how these two songs turned out and knowing he'll have a band as a part of it, I really don't know what to expect for the fate of these songs now. Whatever it is, so far I'm liking it.

don't think there are any recordings except for short clips on abby's instagram, i think she may have been the one who said the sets were the same if i remember correctly
