So a lot of this ep is about how he's taking a break from AC right? Just look at the AC lineup for their upcoming shows

you're thinking of "Bros"

seriously though are there any "confirmed" band references on PB solo material? or is 3 umbrellas the only actual example

If anything I think that such references in any songs would be meant to have many layers moving outwardly, (or even much more inwardly)! Think of Fireworks for example which could playfully connect one's mind and experience to living within a galaxy which is surrounded by innumerable others, as though immense fireworks have slowed down and worlds upon worlds develop throughout them.
Every and any reference can be an open-ended starting point!

that's undoubtedly true, but it seems weird that panda bear would release 3 solo albums full of references to leaving the band without ever missing anything except one-off performances

In this performance I always feel like Avey is screaming "Noah" instead of "Now I". He even says "NOAH! I think it's all right to have a baby!" at 3:01.
Maybe, it's just me but I don't know tho. Anybody else have any opinions on this?

Yeah that's what I thought. But that lyric at 3:01 isn't in the studio version: "Now I think it's all right to have a baby" and it really sounds like he screams Noah at that moment. Plus, Avey is known for playing with words. For reverend green = forever in green. I could be way off.

Seriously people, u made me leave my passive reader role to tell u some news about Bouy?! I used to come here to find everything (and get the vibes from your excitement), and now I have to come here to tell u some old news

Check Rusty's main instagram account (@ruustysantos) for some pics with Noah and this:
Check also his other instagram account (@supbborange) for this "flesh" (must belong to Bouy):
I don't know more than this (except that Rusty was working in Lisboa with Noah in February). So, I'll just leave these treats for your pleasure (and to keep the train rolling) and I'll go offline again. Have fun, and see u out there!

Fuck yes!! I'm also surprised no one found those posts yet but that's exciting. That tiny snippet sounds cool

His tour starts one week from today too, hopefully we'll be hearing some Bouy jams soon

so as soon as this thread becomes a ghost town, i'm ready to give my two cents! took me long enough to even listen to what was in here, but i'm pretty convinced noah's determined to create as many styles of dance music as he can. love the mishmash of elements here, loved hearing melodica on here, for example. i think he managed to put more soul into these five tunes than in the entire sprawling grim reaper saga and to make it succinct, but dense, and have more of a conversational result.

Good qual Crunchitization?
I am going to miss Panda's tour which is a bummer. I am US based and am hiking in Spain for a few weeks, and am on an opposite schedule as Panda. Seriously considered cornpilling the trip to see Panda.
Sounds like he's doing some vocal arrangements simillar to TomBoy? Would be neat to see him get back into using the 404- I know Geo was using it at Music Box

The EP is fairly poppy
The beats are aggressive
The lyrics are fun, but also sinister
The length is not too long but not too short
And the lack of outside hype for it imo is beneficial. Makes it a gem in the rough/ cult classic

But one of the main factors to why I love it, is the pacing and the importance of each track. Not one track is average. For me, even Person Pitch (still my fave PB release and one of my all time favorite records) suffers from a little fatigue right after Bros. It’s not that I’m Not is a bad song, but I don’t think it stands on its own compared to its neighboring tracks. That pacing fatigue doesn’t happen in Homies

Yeah the pacing of Homies is perfect. It's almost like the best of both worlds of an LP and an EP, it feels like a complete artistic statement the same way an LP does but it doesn't overstay its welcome. The 30 min always flies by. On top of that the songs are great and the production is really fresh. He tried something different than his usual approach and totally nailed it

Any chance one of the homies can crunchetize me a vinyl rip? Been listening to my copy of the ep exclusively on the record player but it bit the dust yesterday and I’m missing the record already.

I really want to see/hear a version of flight with live bass guitar, and maybe even the bassist singing. I don't own a bass guitar unfortunately. Been thinking of buying one, partially just to do this though.

Not PB solo but there's the line "my 3 best friends so casually just letting go so joyfully" from lion in a coma
