There's plenty of sketchy websites that allow you to watch tv shows online.
Once the Earthworks episode goes online (probably tomorrow morning), I can pm a link

I met somebody from Maryland last night (in Rhode Island) who told me her old babysitter was Deakin. Little did she know she was talking to a top-tier fanboy. I geeked out a little bit. Interesting talking to somebody who just knew him as Josh on a personal level who didn't know too much about his work with AC.
Haha that's so cool
This Earthworks thing should be great

Someone in the Spiritposting fb group mentioned that AC seems to use the word "good" a lot in their lyrics, honestly never thought about that but seems kinda true. I guess the boys are just all about enjoying the good things in life

Been really into the 2004-2006 boots lately. I'm totally convinced its the "golden age" of their live shows now. The super loud and almost shoegazy Kids on Holiday from the late 2004 shows is god level. I also really love early Fireworks, with the extra beefy guitar sound. Just feeling so amazed by these dudes live prowess lately. It feels so redundant to say on an AC forum but they really are remarkable musicians lol

ja I saw that too...
I think I never had a problem with it because they always seem to use it when it strikes a sense of purity or almost otherworldliness or divinity?? maybe that's a bit much but I link their use of "good" is sort of spiritual. like absolute good rather than subjective good. Good house, Good lovin outside, Ahhh good country. maybe I'm putting too much weight on it. that's my thoughts tho

Yes roopn, totally feel u on that. Honestly had almost the exact same thought but wasn't sure how to articulate it. Their music has an overall quality of being channeled or otherworldly so I don't think you're off base at all. I think they're trying to get at something greater when they use the word good, so that guy who made the fb post kinda missed the point. Like the very first "gooooooooooooood" in Good Lovin Outside, it just effortlessly conveys such a particular feeling and spirit. Would be cool to sit down with all their lyrics and talk through how their songs articulate that idea of goodness. Someone should do a PhD thesis or something on it
and yeah demonclusters, Kids on Holiday from that era is unreal, I know some ppl have said before that that song should have been on Feels. Idk if I agree with that but it is such a crazy powerful track in that style. But yeah I can see the argument for 04-06 as "golden age", I could never pick just one era but that time period is a really cool blend of their early chaoticness and later poppiness

the 2009 versions of "Slippi," and "Chocolate Girl" and "Who Could Win A Rabbit" and "Fireworks" (and all the deep cuts!!!) are soooooo unbelievably good.
2009, AC was on top of the world. everything they touched was just magical
