Geologist & Avey Tare went down to a Brazilian rainforest last year and recorded a live EP that we’re excited to share with you. "Meeting of the Waters” will be available on Record Store Day and accompanied later this year by an episode of “Earth Works” on VICELAND. More details soon.

EDIT: Whoa this looks super awesome from the trailer. All the different areas they recorded in!

Does this pretty much confirm the tracklist posted earlier, given that they recorded in the amazon?

Can't wait to hear what this sounds like...hard to imagine the modular synth with the field recordings and acoustic guitar but I imagine the setting inspired something sweet.

Those sounds weren't really meant to be heard on record, though. It was really just a gift to hardcore fans that don't live in NYC.

I actually watched the preview with the sound off because my computer is broken lol. I didn't even know My Girls was playing.

I said songs because I saw Avey strumming a guitar and singing in a couple shots. I didn't mean tightly structured pop songs, I was thinking looser like HCTI or Campfire Songs.
