seeing the sentence "new panda track" made my day then I saw the rest of the sentence. But I am still happy, I like what I am hearing even tho I hate those kind of ad pseudo philosophical. But It confirms what someone said above, noah could do an amazing OST for a videogame or a movie.

Hope he will be allowed to share the complet track(s) whithout that garbage voice over. I remember 5 years ago Julian Casablancas made a song especially of some famous brand, parfum brand If I remember it welll but the complete track never got out, maybe they wanted to make people go look for that commercial in order to listen to the song. Don't know

At those prices they must be sweatshop clothes. His wife is a designer, he knows better. I'm going back to listen to Def Leppard's Pyromania. Because I'm old and not cool.

I find this quite depressing, personally. I'm not completely against advertising and so on but pretty much think it's one hundred percent fucking shite.

Uniqlo also has notoriously bad working conditions for its Chinese manufacturing staff, which is what actually concerns me about the association. I don't have any problem with supporting Crayola but is it unreasonable to expect Noah to do the most basic research here? I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say I can't imagine he knew.

First off fuck sweatshop fashion. Im not sure I get this? The music is so quiet and the voice over is so dumb. What's the point of having a really talented musician make music especially for an ad with some dingbat talking over it. Hope he made some good money because this just seems silly. The music is so non descript it could be any indie or mainstream producer and I wouldn't know or be able to tell.

I guess it seems weird because this music doesn't scream out PANDA BEAR in a way that would make it novel and that the most novel aspect of the ads is that he is the person who made the music. His attachment to the ads is more interesting than the ads or music itself. If you never knew he did it I doubt it would occur to you this music is any different from all the nameless titleless music run behind other equally uninspired pseudo philosophical ad copy. I'm not trying to be negative. It just seems odd.

I wonder if he gave them a bunch of shit and they chose the most unremarkable stuff bc they're bad at identifying good music

it's clearly not a substantial work at all. i'm sure it was fairly low-effort, which fits for how low-quality the commercials are

lol you guys needa chill, its just a tv ad. Seen plenty commercials with those corn ball voice overs.

as for the music, its nice kinda textural stuff, kinda like library music or something.

As you say, the music is wallpaper and the company consistently violates workers' human rights. I don't begrudge anyone easy money to support their family but artistically, it's a nil.
