Had a great time at the show. A few takeaways after seeing them 3 times so far this tour:
-Lying in the Grass live is a fucking JAM
-now that the tour has been going a while, they've added a lot more (improvised?) vocal parts during the transitions, which has made them even better than before.
-Avey totally nails his vocals during Bees, and it made me realize that most of the PW songs don't really give his voice a chance to shine because he is only singing in short bursts of one word or phrase. It's especially the case with the hocketing on pandas songs, but even on something like Floridada his voice doesn't really get the room to stretch out.

4th time seeing them this year and this was by far the best show yet: sound quality was fantastic, so much bass

Got SO faked out that they were gonna play leaf house before summing the wretch. Hope they will later in the tour, but LOVED the show as it was!

I'll upload my lousy iphone voice memos recording of it if nobody has a higher quality version. I relistened to the first 3 songs on the way home and they dont sound great but not inaudible.
show was really amazing. saw abby on the way out i think.
did anyone stay around and talk to the band?

talked to abby after the show
attempted to get the set list from her but someone had nabbed it already
she said they were going to oklahoma today...
(or i think that's what she said)
the venue was pretty quick to start kicking people out

Wonderful set. The energy was fantastic due to the various Levitation refugees coming together to enjoy what we love.
Was able to record Golden Gal and Bees --> Recyling.
Will upload once I get back across the country.

I wasn't there but based on my own experiences elsewhere, I'm assuming this rather confusing review is a load of bollocks:
http://www.austinchronicle.com/daily/mu ... ollective/
"At the core of Animal Collective is their vocals. They can’t sing. Impeccable lockstep timing on exhortations by Portner and Lennox thus weave with the sonics. Driving and propulsive, the quartet plays right through that deficiency."

I think that statement sort of applies to the songs with hocketing, but is completely wrong everywhere else. The timing is definitely impressive when they do the hocketing live, but I don't really think the melodies come through, so the singing doesn't sound great imo.
BUT, Panda sounded amazing at that show on Daily Routine, Loch Raven, and any other time he was singing sustained notes and not hocketing.

Just throwing this out there...I will pay a reasonable price plus extra for pain and suffering in exchange for an Animal Collective poster. I'm local, too, so no shipping. Just can't make it right now.
Let me know if anyone could help me out with this.
